  1. One sold in the classifieds not long ago for just under £35,000
  2. YUX is mine.Smollenski still owns the rights to TVR.Various parts were sold off including the parts and engine business to TVR Power ltd of Coventry.Smollenski, along with his right hand man David Oxley, attempted a relaunch of TVR during the summer, with a rather subdued launch to some people from the press and invited guests at a venue in the north. They were displaying the re-launched Sagaris.Apart from re-working of the Speed 6 engine by Ricardo engineering and a different interior, the car looked exactly the same as when the factory closed in 06.It later transpired that the car on display, was infact a customers car who had payed for it in full before the factory went in to recievership and never recieved the end product.Hence why the soliciters are involved.Personally i cant see them coming back in the near future. But there are rumours that original owner Peter Wheeler is again taking a strong intrest. The cars still have a huge following.
  3. A very nice Super charger conversion on the Rover V8,by Racing Green Cars... Anyone know what model Triumph this is.....
  4. Now in its third year.Sunday saw the annual TVR London thunder. With a start time at silly o,clock, and lots of driving through London, and with the usual stop in Whitehall,it was then on to the ACE. The meet point.Outside the 02 in greenwich at 0.430 Someone getting out of shape at Westferry circus... Converging on Whitehall........ A stop off in Battersea Park.. And then on to the ACE...

  10. Another takeover!.It was better back in the days of A.C. Miles.
  11. Roadsure still offer the policy dont they?.I payed for it in March on renewal.
  12. Along with most of the car industry, and with G.M about to go to the wall in the U.S.It looks like JLR are the latest victims, less than 9 months after the takeover by TATA. They are in secret negotiations with the goverment for a £1 billion loan to bail them out. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/ind...
  13. Sorry mate.To ill on the saturday night to attend.here i am heading in to oblivion........ .Shouldnt have done it,knowing there was a show the next morning. But it was the beginnings of a great night.Next year i will be there.
  14. The other half works in a kids day center. And over the last week she, with the help of a couple of others has created a rememberance wall. Basically its a wall with information pictures and words in basic form to inform the kids on the significance of rememberance day and what it means. She has had lots of intrest from the kids. And they have shown there enthusiasm with pictures that they have drawn and placed on the wall. Imagine my other halfs dismay, when she asked the owner today if we were going to hold a minutes silence tomorrow morning. To be greeted with"No!.We are running a business. We are not in the business of poppys and silence".This is from someone who happens to be the first cousin of X-factors Simon Cowell.Slightly contradicts his efforts on releasing a single for "Help the hero,s campaign".What a twat!.
  15. Does anyone know if he still has the Scammel Constructor??.
  16. I'm sure i done that one.I remember there was a unit of the T.A there as well with a broken down M.J.Had to be bumped started.I think Eddy Slater was in attendance at that show as well in his Jeepster. My brother has some really good pics from West Malling as he started his flying career with the pop star Gary Numan. He used to fly every where with him in the Harvard.Or was it a Texan?.
  17. I used to do the Old Warbirds show at West Malling. One year Bernie Slater had me tugging the aircraft genny around with the Jeep.I have a pic somewhere with me and the Jeep next to a Douglas Skyraider as we started it.Richard.Do you remember the hanger dances there?.
  18. Sorry mate.Couldnt make it this morning.Went out last night, and didnt get in till late.Just leaving for the rememberance service in Bromley and the march past.
  19. Getting back on topic. That is very minor damage on the 432 compared with some of the damage I.E.D,s being used in Iraq.Someone i know in 33 Regt E.O.D got back from Iraq last year, and was surprised by the size and sophistication on some of the examples he came across. The use of mobile phones in these was a big issue for them. One was even big enough to puncture the front armour of a Challenger, with the loss of the drivers leg. Just watching a repeat yesterday of "The Marines of Lima Company".Brilliant documentary charting the tour of the company from the 25th Marine division during there tour of Iraq. The most heavily hit unit ever to tour Iraq.Looseing 14 marines in one incident, when a huge I.E.D detonated there LTV-7 Amtrac. There was literally nothing left of it.Really sad to watch. But brilliantly made.
  20. Sounds like high blood pressure.May need to go on blood thinning tablets.
