  1. I bought a SA80 BB gun last year from airsoft warehouse.A really, really impressive piece of kit.I first saw it on display at military odyssey last year.I was that impressed by it i put a deposit on it right away.Ive handled a few SA80,s and this was the closest by far to the real thing.Same weight, feel, and i would swear they have used some real parts in the build.I paid £320 for mine.
  2. Hello Tony. There is a re-inactment group called (5th Airborne Brigade) and they have a website. They have a Para LtWt within the group which one a best vehicle award at war and peace last year. There are some pics of it on there site. But im sure if you made contact with them they will provide you with more pics. You can find the group through milweb.Go to support services then click on (clubs and societys) and its listed there. All the best.
  3. Agreed on the IRR stuff. You will probably get max two years life out of it.After that it starts to fade. With it gradually,if left long enough turn a bluey/grey colour.
  4. Thanks for the info.Looks like i will have to take a test then.Any owners with info?
  5. Cat C? Im used to HGV,1,2,3. Passed my test on my 17th birthday in 87.
  6. I thought that like some HGV,s driven privately they could be driven on a normal car licence?Weight wise what are we looking at? 10 tons max?
  7. I know withams have the task of disposing of the entire fleet of Saxons.Anyone know what the price ranges are? Also i know they are based around the Bedford MK.But can anyone give me an owners perspective?
  8. Very nice. Here is a pic of my old Ltwt back in 92 at Southsea. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/landrover.jpg[/img]
  9. Welcome to the world of Ferrets.I like posting pics. Here is my brothers. But i do all the driving. He,s never drove it.http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9586.jpg[/img]
  10. Sorry but without sounding a complete idiot where is the brake master located.I havent got my manual with me at the moment.
  11. Heat build up in the cab, couldnt be as bad as a 101 Ambulance. Here is a pic of the one i owned before i sold it at Christmas.http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/ambulancefront.jpg[/img]
  12. I couldnt tell it was daylight.I put the lights on so other people can see me.You wouldnt believe the amount of people that head towards you going along the road.It started up fine before i made off with a strong turnover. And i never had anymore problems on the way home. When i did get home i tried the lights again and it was fine.
  13. I took the Ferret to the Biggin Hill Airshow yesterday. On returning home there was a bit of a delay in leaving.Stop/start traffic and things were a bit of a crawl.Once out on to the open road, gave it some throttle, and at the same time put the head lights on.As soon as i did it started to splutter and was coming to a halt.Switched the lights off and it picked up again and off i went.It didnt do it anymore on the way home. Now my intial thoughts were that it was a bit of fuel startvation as i was sitting in traffic for a while and it was a very hot day or do i have some sort of electrical problem?Or is it fuel starvation but just a coincidence that it happened when i put the lights on? Also ive noticed that my brake lights have become permantley stuck on.And will only go off when the ignition is switched off.?Any ideas. One last problem is the hazard lights. They only work on the right side and not the left.Yet the indicators work both sides? Any help will be much appreciated. Mark
  14. Nice one mate.Didnt know you visited here?
  15. Thanks for all the comments.Im based in S.E London. The Beltring display has been scaled back a bit as can be seen from the pics above. All the kit displayed is genuine and not repro. My brother decided last year to sell a small part of his collection in order to buy the Ferret outright. The Jeep is both of ours, but the display and all the equipment is entirely his effort. He has built the collection up since he was 14.There used to be up to 7 manaqins. But as you can see from the pics above he has cut that down to 4.Thats how it will be at this years Beltring.Feel free to come over and have a chat.
  16. The pics dont seem to have come out. What have i done wrong?
  17. Hello Everyone. Ive been on the MV scene since 1988.Ive had numerous vehicles over the years.I started off with a 42 Ford Jeep, which my father bought for me and my brother when we were kids back in 1977.We still have the Jeep.It had a nut and bolt restoration in 1989 by Tony Sudds. The first MV i bought was a Lightweight from Trevor Boreham from Battle nr Hastings. He was a regular on the show scene in the S.E and alondg with Steve Right(Pink Panther) used to put on some good displays.Things went a bit quiet for me for a while as i went in to Sports cars(BMW,s Jags, and finally many years with TVR,s)but i always done the major shows,Beltring,Duxford etc.I now own the 42 Ford still. As its part of our display at Beltring(U.S Rangers in Normandy)Also a 101 G.S and aFerret.Ive recently sold a 101 Ambulance.I look forward to many posts on here gathering as much info as possible. Here are a few pics of my Vehicles My 42 Ford at the Bromley Pageant. My 101. The Ferret. My 101 Ambulance that ive recently sold. My old Lightweight back in 91 at Southsea.
