  3. What year were they used up to by the police?.
  4. I thought some of you may appreciate this.Yesterday was our last gathering for 2008 at the Manor Farm Barn in Southfleet Kent.Amongst the usual exotica at these events,my mate decided to bring along his old V8 Ford Pilot.I was going to bring the Jeep. But it was way to cold. But opted for the Landrover, and Lisa bringing along the Corvette instead. This is an original unrestored model.Built in 1951.Which i believe could have been the last year of production.I bet a few of the older ones on here have had one of these?. Like with all old cars a bit of a job driving it compared to modern stuff. But a sense of occasion all the same.
  5. It does ring a bell. Its funny how, when some owners disappear, the vehicles seem to as well.Never to be seen again on the show scene.
  6. Yes.Or the wiggler as he is more commonly known as .:rotfl:
  7. The recce Rover to the right of the pinkie in the pic was a regular on the scene 20years ago.I wonder where it is now.I'm sure it was an ex John Burford vehicle?.
  8. Steve,s Pinkie had a slightly lighter shade of pink than most of the others. The one in the Pocock collection had an identical shade.Thats why i assumed it was his one.
  9. So Mr Pocock eventually sold it to Mr Bucknall?.
  10. That looks like Steve Wrights old Pinkie. Now owned by Barry Pocock.
  11. The ones in use by the 75th U.S Rangers are all based on the 5 door body configuration.
  12. She would see straight through me.
  13. Never had the blurred vision or sore elbows. But backache, broken halfshafts and the drone from the high-milers were all the norm.Halfshafts were a pig to get hold of,as i had the original flat ends on the hubs.
  14. lots of interests for me.MV,s just a small part of it.But one which i have been with the longest.
  15. All this talk of old LTWT,s takes me back to my old one...... Taken at Southsea in 1991.It was my daily driver and show vehicle for 5 years.Oh the memorys...
  16. Ahh.The LR ambulance subsection.Might as well post some pics of ambulances as well..Here is my old girl......... And this is her, just before loading on to the transporter..... And off she goes to her new owner in Holland..

Slightly off topic. Some years ago,me and a few mates stayed over at Biggin during the Airshow weekend. On the saturday night, with dusk fast approaching two A10,s from the 81st FW from Bentwaters flew in.It was totally unexpected for us,and we were freely able to walk alongside them as they taxied to the static park.Had a good chat with the pilots, and even managed to bag a seat in one and was talked through the controls. Those were the days....
  18. Get a good one and you wont regret it....
  19. Yep.It would have to be put through the SVA here.
  20. They look identical to one that william galliers was offering a few years back.
  21. U.S restorations in my opinion have always been better than there european counterparts.
  22. What a boat!.Can you actually live on that all year round?.Or are you limited to so many months a year?.
  23. Well if old Trafford(CW)gets rid of the champ, then it wont be long before a few of us will be looking to downsize or looking for new homes,as we share his premises.
