  1. Right ho, Jack time to pay up......... Rosie on here knees about to receive Enigma's helmet. The crowning moment when she gets Enigma's helmet. The very proud couple Rosie pleased so much to get her helmet, Enigma just as happy with a great paint job as per all the other helmets he has done, but this was the hardest one to date, still a fantastic job. Rosie was so happy with it she wore it almost all day Saturday how many of you saw it ? But with all that weight on Rosie's head when we got back to the car I turned round and all I could see of her was this ................. The weight of the helmet must have been tooooo much with all the walking ........
  2. Hi all I am after some parts and sections of new original spec wiring looms, what experience have you all had and who have you used for your wiring.
  3. Thanks all for the input, what I am trying to also find out is if the 352 is an Artillery tractor and towed the 105mm as we all know, what was used to change gun barrels and parts on these guns in the field workshops. Was the No7 set only for Artillery ? if it was not a factory fitment how were these jobs carried out ?
  4. Hi all trying to find out what these were originally intended for, what they were fitted to, what different makes were there and any other useful information. Fire away.
  5. Well as this event was such a success, very good trial run in Dorchester and people want another one soon how about the centre of London for 2012 and the Olympics. Need more tanks though.
  6. If that is your max weights of the vehicles you need covering try the RAC they cover up to 3.5 Tonnes, that is when I enquired about cover for my GMC and was told they only cover up to 3.5 Tonnes.
  7. Good to meet you Olaf glad you enjoyed the event like all of us I am still smiling. Gawd that bloke standing up with the helmet on and whistle gets in all the pics, anyone know who he is :cool2:
  8. Trees are not to be underestimated, they are tough old things. Thats why they stay standing up in high winds, generally.
  9. Just a little obvious thing if the fluid is gone out of the master cylinder you should see it as a leak somewhere, if the level goes down and there are no leaks in the wheel cylinders or hoses or the chassis lines then it has to be going into the hydrovac vacuum chambers, I have had this happen to me !!! then its time to check the hydrovac. Good luck
  10. Jack and Kev what can I say ........ words cant explain how I felt over the weekend, such a cool thing to do to give the people there now, an idea of what it was like 65 odd years ago, to see, hear, smell and feel those Tanks and all the other vehicles which made such a sight running on the roads of Dorchester. I cant think of anything better than looking across the hedge rows and seeing the tops of Shermans roaring along, a thing that will bring a smile to my face forever. I just feel very humble to have been a part of it, and for compliments of how professional the job was done on the Convoys. This must go a long way to show that such an event is possible and how the owners act in an outstanding and professional way. Very good plus points for the Historic Military Vehicle World in general. You da Man....
