  1. Always amazed by this forum, you post something silly like look at my new snow chains and you get lots of people saying wow never seen anything like that, and low and behold out of the blue people start posting I got some like that..... just goes to show what people have tucked away in their sheds ect...
  2. Merry Christmas to you, lets have some pics of the loom. I think I would start with the worst bit, under the dash board, then work out through the firewall on to the engine front lights ect, the dim dip switch brake light switch then on to working back down the truck to the rear.. Is it all in one piece ?
  3. Merry Christmas all, a friend of mine needs some advice on how to fit the fibre board roof lining to the inside of the roof, how do you get the compound curves into the fibre board panel. All this is to go into a 1.5 ton Chevy hard cab.

  7. That's mad those landing craft are Sooooo much bigger than the trailers, must be pushing up the bottoms of the hulls......
  8. There is also research data regarding the rev range and how that effects the valve seats, if I can remember there is something about a dramatic increase in the damaged caused if the rev are above 2500 RPM. The data refers to running over 2500 RPM the wear caused is much more than running below 2500 RPM.
  9. Found this bit on you tube of a Pacific on the road.
  10. Some good pics there, did the landing craft have a particular model and what would have been The shipping weight of the landing craft?
  11. Were these tractor trailers really all they were cracked up to be ? was there anything else which could do the same job as well ? were they used more for moving goods or tanks as there were so few of them.
  12. I am researching information on the operation to move Landing craft ( LCM's I think ) over land for the Rhine crossing in 1944 ? any pics, what were the landing craft what was used to move them, where they came from, how many, anything anyone knows of, please let me know.

  17. Well I suppose this begs the question as to are they GMC they do seem to fit well so would be probably for 7.50 x 20 and duals as they fit the rears well, war time, post war, and has anyone seen anything else like these ?
  18. Well here is the latest addition for my GMC. A nice set of snow chains, but got them just in time for the snow to have melted, oh well just wait till it snows again :-D :-D :-D I am now soooo ready. I have only just laid them over the tyres but you get the idea.
  19. Well there you go the power of being able to post a request and people offer, I am well chuffed with this, picked the chains up this morning from Paulob1, he collected them from RickW and he picked them up from Toby Burnham.. A big thanks to all involved in this, Rick you have a presie on its way, thanks again for all the effort. For some of the pics see the American vehicles thread.
