  1. What about this bastardisation? http://shushpanzer-ru.livejournal.com/1115623.html
  2. http://www.fav-club.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=259:fenix-y-rafaga&catid=19:ejercitos-y-sistemas-terrestres&Itemid=22 If anyone's got a turret from an M42 Duster and wants to do something with it!
  3. Here's a few items outside a motel on the A17, at Fleet Hargate, N 52 48.418, E 00 03.544 No discernable ID on this one. Painted on front, "K/C 13-4-10R" & "2957" (Auction numbers?) Heavily overpainted numberplate on rear, appears to be 04 FA 88 OK, not armour, but one of the most beautiful jets! Coded WT680 Not armour, either. Numberplate on front 00 TG 03
  4. IIRC, that Sherman was fished out of the water in the docks at Manilla. Yup, here it is. http://www.timawa.net/forum/index.php?topic=19186.0
  5. Lurking somewhere in Jordan. Looks odd, from the tracks up!
  6. http://www.redstar.gr/Foto_red/Exibition/MuseumGR_Aulon.html Some interesting bits, from WW2 to modern armour.
  7. Also know as "Look, Duck & Vanish" Hence them being, in the modern parlence, "Rebranded" as the Home Guard.
  8. You stupid boy! You're possibly taking historical accuracy, a touch too seriously!
  9. At my gaff, near Newark, 8am. Not felt cold like this since I went skiing at Lake Louise! http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/02/09/european-cold-snap-freezes-danube-blocks-ships-in-port/ Mind you, mild compared to Europe, frozen Danube, snowy pitch for the Italy v England match in Rome, Russia's so cold, their demand for gas has soared, http://oilandenergyinvestor.com/2012/02/energy-crisis-looming-in-the-european-deep-freeze/.
  10. I get a lovely series of red crosses where there should be photos.
  11. Not bad, as these programmes go. I was particularly interested in seeing the chase-chopper views of the Dakota landing, I never realised that they were so difficult to keep in a staight line once they touched down!
  12. Been a bit around Newark/Grantham the past couple of days, just a dusting. More promised (Threatened?) for later. Update - half four, it's snowing!
  13. Cut them in half & count the rings?
  14. Me too, but the only thins I find are empty tins & used prophylactics!
  15. An eclectic mix, some well-known, some not. This one's the JagdTiger that's in the Aberdeen collection. The chunk out of the mantle's the clue. This one I especially like. I've often seen Wehrmacht recycled M3 half tracks, but never US recycled Hanomags!
  16. Fan-bloody-tastic! The crewman peering out of the Panther's hatch, is a work of art all on its own!
  17. Madness! But the distance between insanity & genius is very small, or so I have been told! Anyone who has the vision to turn hundred-weights of hydrated iron oxide into a shiney, living creature, that moves under its own power, has my complete admiration.
  18. Don't remember that series at all. I like how Kojak keeps his hat on during his jump!
  19. An aircraft carrier, with planes on it?

  21. He was responsible for the restoration/replication of the PzIV that's now in the King of Jordan's collection, I believe.
  22. http://www.archive.org/details/gov.archives.arc.2569519 Looks like 1950's footage, B&W. Any Jeep owners fancy repeating the first test?
  23. http://wirtualne.muzeumbronipancernej.pl/ 3D tour of the Broni Pancernej museum in Poland. View 4 is their Stug IV, with interior view. 6-10 shows their Soviet armour.
  24. It's the USS Intrepid in NY harbour. (Or "harbor" for our US friends!) Even the Yanks are struggling to maintain these relics, it's unfortunate that we'll never get the visitor numbers to pay for their upkeep. Having the ship as a diving "reef" will at least keep it from the fate of its sistership.
