  1. Hi Guys I just won this 1941 Shelley 4 ton jack & handle on ebay for £6.29, is it the type that would of been fitted in Military vehicles of that period as standard equipment ? Cheers

  5. Hi Guy I'm back with my QL as of this week, cant do any more to the bowser untill after Beltring as I'm waiting for a mate to fabricate the chassis sections. Well done with your restoration.

  7. Hi Paul I notice they are based in Appleby, Cumbria, operating throughout the Northwest & Scottish Borders do you know of a company in Southern England that uses the same process ?
  8. Started repairing the 2 wheel archs today, there are 4 repairs to do which are about 8" x 4" which tock about 2 hours to complete the first one. the size is deceptive in the photos but these are huge unwieldly archs for 11.00 tyres.
  9. RAC is ok for vehicles up to 3 ton but Adrian Flux covered vehicles upto about 9 ton.
  10. The 4 wheels are in a very poor state, this is the best one which should take a couple of hours to repair but one of them is so far gone that even the lips have rotted off.
  11. The rear section of the chassis is much worst that I first thought and the photos dont realy show the extent of the corrosion so rather than waste time cutting out and welding patches in I have decided to have some sections made and weld in a new rear part.
  12. Hi John good to hear from you mate, you can see from this photo that the spring I need is about 5cms across although there is room for a different size spring , could you check it out for me please. thanks Ian
  13. I assume the W.D. No Z5161814 is the regisation number which would of been painted on each side of the water tank ? thats the data plate which is missing on mine ? do you have any photos ? thanks Ian
  14. Hi Guys where can I get a spring like this for my 20cwt Bowser Trailer ? anybody recognise a silimar one on a modern trailer ? once I attempt to dismantle the handbrake assembly with heat & brute force the spring is going to disintgrate.
