  1. The restoration moved on 'leaps & bounds' today when a package arrived containing all the underneath pipe work including taps / valves / mounting blocks & the change over valve ontop of the bowser, kindly sent by another Forum member.
  2. Hope your right as it would of been a great shame to loose this vehicle, being driven away rather than taking the risk of loading it onto a low loader was always the most obvious method of theft in my opinion and also being used as a spares source (engine worth £2000 ?) was also the most obvious reason for theft rather than attempting to disguise and use it.
  3. Dont think thats quite right ? my Diesel 2001 Fiat Motorhome is not allowed in and thats private not commercial.

  15. Last job I did today was to start on the Radiator cover and yes its an awful lot worse than the photos show but this will have to wait untill after Beltring.
  16. Hi Gordon your dead right about that core plug hidden in the bell housing and infact thats the only reason why I took the engine out and brought it back to my workshop otherwise it would of been left at the airfield whiIe I finished off the chassis/body.
  17. Hi Bob cheers mate, hope to have her finished for Beltring 2013 along with the 20cwt Bowser that i'm also restoring.
  18. Hi Tim the first bit was the easy bit, wait till you see the outside tinwork and the roof !!!!!!!!!!!! Now next little job, I can either make a tool and spend hours beating these 2 panels out or I might just know somebody that could help !!!!!!!!
  19. 3rd job today was a flange on the engine cover.
  20. Next job today was a small bracket welded to the L/H chassis leg which supports the engine cover.
  21. Started with a small job this morning, the steel frame round the bottom of the Radiator had rotted away so made a new one and will solder it back on later.
  22. Started work on the 1st corroded wheel today, tomorrow I will take it to a local fabricator who can cut and roll a piece of 5mm plate so that I can weld it in.
  23. Made good progress on the left hand floor today, its turning out to be a very time consuming restoration as every panel I touch is having to be either replaced or have invisble plates welded in.
