  1. Bodger , have to ask what is a Dunbar Kapple? Sounds like a foreign cigarette?
  2. Thats the one! Its got a good article in the mag, especially them trying to tow it out of its hole with 2 Fodens! Snapped a tow chain rated at 70 tons! Will make a point of going to see that, apparently the museum scavenged some bits off it so not a lot left.
  3. When we wre at Bov the oter week I noticed a few things shoved in the Tiger turret that looked like torsion bars marked up Wheatcroft collection. I wish I had his contacts!
  4. Ahhh, the voice of reason...... :-D
  5. Does anyone know the exact spot where this tank remains are, Ive just read about it in that Britain at war mag. An interesting article, the magazines pretty good too.
  6. What else has he got?You looking for a replacement Jack, or an addition to the family?
  7. Calling all C8 owners out there, especially ones with a digital camera! The windscreen surround and a couple of other bits came back from being sandblasted today. Now all the layers of paint and rust have been expelled from the frame I can see what I have to do. There is nothing left of the bottom, where it swings out, which I knew anyway. But the screen looks like it is either made out of 2 screens or it has been repaired at some point in its life with complete disregard to what the other side should look like. If any of you out there have some windscreen close ups you could post, or if I could trouble you to take some photos I would really appreciate it. When I get my camera tomorrow I will post some pics so you can see what I mean. Thanks Guys
  8. We would be interested, as we normally try and get down to Dorset at least once a year. Maybe you could presuade the army to take us round the training ground at Bov in their Challengers. Failing that a cup of tea and an ice-cream at Monkey World!
  9. At least it wasnt a beaded seat cover!
