  1. Thats just common sense talking! Dont listen to it!
  2. You have my sympathies mate, not only didnt you get to W&P, but youre flooded out as well. Its the clearing up to follow as well, we just moved recently and made sure we were on a hill, but the fields all around us have flooded, so it lokks like we're on an island at the mo. Still, could be worse, I could be camping down at Trowbridge like my other half is this weekend! :-D
  3. None in the Bucks area I know of Nigel. I know the south midlands group are having War on The Railway weekend at Chapel Brampton near Northampton, but apart from that it's a bit of a black hole here.
  4. Sorry, too far away from me, take the plunge and buy it anyway! :-D
  5. Maybe thats something Jack could look at putting in the HMVF shop section? A donation section? Then pass on the monies to the purchaser of the wreath. It could be a bit complex, especially with any UK tax issues. Maybe the earlier notion of getting a bit more active in poppy collection would be simpler. Take your vehicle into work and park it outside maybe, or along to your local ceremony and stick a collection box on the bonnet.

Ive no idea, but when I started out on this MV caper I thought NOS referred to vehicles fitted with a Nitrous Oxide System! I very quickly learnt though, without any cause of embarrassment to myself. This is probably due to my owning very fast jap cars until family life forced me to get something with 4 seats!
  7. I'll go along with that, but do you mean Paschendale or am I being a bit ignorant? Whatever, we always have a poppy box at our place and I try to educate the youngsters. (Icant believe they are thinking of dropping Hitler and WW2 off the national curriculum! My better half had no idea if half the things that went on until she encountered me. And shes a couple of years older!) One of my prime motivations for getting the Morris on the road was to get it at the local wreath laying on remembrance day so that people dont forget and the youger generation never make the same mistakes. Good on you.
  8. I looked at becoming a friend but couldnt see much benefit. Whats good about it?
  9. Thought I may as well stick these up so those of us not away for the weekend have got something to look at. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload147.jpg[/img] Excuse the quality, theyre not quite up to Snappers standards! http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload139.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload132.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload131-1.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload130.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload120.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload119.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload124.jpg[/img]
  10. Another couple of pics from the Bovvy yard
  11. Its no good I cant do anything with it either! Can we have an idiots guide please!
  12. Does anyone know of the whereabouts of a users/drivers manual I can download?
  13. Just saw ad for a Dingo that requires restoration in CMV mag. Small, affordable, not too much of a rot box, and I could probably afford it, if a bit at the top end of my range. I rang the bloke up and he's just sold it, not only that it sounded in fairly good condition and has just been sitting around in a garage for many years and he was paying rent on it and just wanted shot of it. He had it advertised for £3,500 and sold it for £2,000.,...........I am deeply distraught that, a) I missed a resto dingo for sale, and b) Missed a stupidly cheap dingo for sale..... :died:
  14. Yep, it is Bov. I didnt see the Marmon, but Ive got a couple more pics of the yard, I'll have a look.
  15. And Ive just realised its left hand drive! What is the world coming to!

  18. Just some pics of the one from Bovington for reference. I was surprised after seeing it at how small it was compared to the truck. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload135.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload133.jpg[/img] http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/Holupload134.jpg[/img]

  20. Have you any idea what costs are involved in shipping to the UK? Ive been trying to find out as there are a cfew things over there I have my eye on.
  21. Yes she is, altough she lacks a beard as yet! She's off to the Trowbridge Village Pump Festival to get rained on.
  22. You could probably fuel a REO with it! ;-)
  23. Welcome Kim, glad to see you found your way here. Im sure you will find it very informative, and a little lighthearted at times! Bit quiet this weekend though, a lot of people are getting rained on at W&P!
