  1. Hi Croc How's the explorer coming along?
  2. Hi there Pull up a pew and take a load off your feet *Shameless plug alert* If you are interested, there is a vehicle group near you, the SMVG (If you want to compare 1:35 to 1:1)
  3. That's the best explanation I've found so far.
  4. Want to bet the gearbox is getting crunched by someone trying to drive it like a manual transmission? Poor poor ferret. ;( Right I'm off to my happy place..
  5. Hi As a first step: If there is still the data plate or hull number inside the vehicle (On the driver's right, where the hull slopes in to the roof) You can try the Bovington Tank Museum (assuming of course that the ferret served in the British Army).
  6. Merry Christmas and may 2012 be a peaceful one
  7. Welcome to a fellow ferret owner. Get comfy and start posting ;-)
  8. **** ....it's easier just to slap a few stickers on a Sprinter van. **** But not nearly as much fun to make I bet They look amazing.
  9. You might be like me and have been rejected as you do not meet the MLU's requirements? After I recieved that email I've not wasted my time revisiting the forum.
  10. Perhaps in another 100 years someone will visit it again?
  11. Hi, welcome to the wonderful world of ferrets. Ferrets could be picked up by the lifting eyes above the suspension. It might be safer, mind you, to winch it up the lorry (Unless you have a suitable crane etc handy) Do you have any info on your beast?
  12. I like it ;-) The music at the beginning, is that from Kelly's Heroes? (Yes I know I could look it up but I'm suffering from CBA just now)
  13. Isn't that a bit worrying? More piccies please ;-)
  14. *waves* Hi. You could always try for a ferret, aka 'the poor man's tank'. It's got armour and you could explain to your better half that it's "a only a classic car..." :-P
  15. I seem to remember instructions on how to make a version of it. It doesn't look the same but does much the same job. I'll have a dig around and (if I find them) will stick up them up.. (Although the proper ones are MUCH nicer)
  16. Hi It looks like a box spanner with a bolt through the centre. The idea is you use the bolt to screw the tool onto each fluid flywheel nut before you loosen it. This stops the nut from falling down into the gubbins. I've got one. I just need to get some photos of it. (Can't attach them. Ho hum)
  17. Think we know the answer to that one already :-(
  18. Hi I found a documentary about the 17th / 21st Lancers in BAOR on Iplayer. It's very interesting .Here's the linky http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00jrhyh/Tuesday_Documentary_Death_or_Glory/ From a vehicle point of view, there are ferrets, chieftains, trucks etc. (Not sure if this has been posted before)
