I read somewhere that the bombardier's were under orders to destroy the bomb sight at all costs if the plane was brought down. Even to the point of riding the doomed craft down if required. Sobering thought

I've been in an advertising campaign for a well known high street chemist. I was volunteering on HMS Plymouth when she stayed in Glasgow (about 1990 to 91). That's all I'm admiting to just now...

Sounds like a plan :-D I know I have bought bits for my ferret from suppliers who don't advertise at all, it's a case of "So and so might have that bit. Call him on xxxxx) I imagine that permission from each supplier would need to get granted before puting their names up?

I've been in an TV advert for a high street chemist, Been to a couple of premieres and chased a soap star for trespassing.

I used to be a shipkeeper on a certain privately owned ex royal navy frigate. Each night i would do my rounds on the upper decks and at a certain time each night I would hear what sounded like water tight hatches being closed and dogged. The sounds would run from the bow to the flight deck, getting louder as they moved to the stern. Thing is. I was the only person on board and when I would open the ship up in the morning all the hatches would be latched open.... I spoke privately with the other shipkeepers and they all admitted to hearing the same thing. None of use ever ventured below decks at night and we were under strict instructions never to mention it to the public.

Signed it. It makes my blood boil to see this government hellbent on turning us into a laughing stock as quickly as it can :banghead:

I thought I was finally losing my marbles! :eek: It is sort of fun though :-D

I remember being at secondary school near Glasgow when the shuttle flew overhead. We were in techie and the teachers kept looking at their watches (everyone know what was going to happen) At the appointed time, we all filed out to the playgrounds and a hush settled over the crowd. Really quite eerie. At first I couldn't hear anything and then in the distance I could hear a low roaring sound. Slowly it got louder until suddenly the 747 with Enterprise thundered overhead and vanished over the school roof. It seemed almost close enough to touch. I was eleven and I can still remember looking up into the grey sky and seeing that shuttle gleaming in the weak light.

Hi. I just want to introduce myself. I'm Paul and I'm now the owner of Ferret 00 EC 13 up in here in Glasgow. I must admit, I'm still new to this stuff and no doubt will be asking a load of "newbie" questions (Although I'll try to keep them fairly sensible!) 1st Silly question.
