  1. Time to get back on topic please. Thank you.
  2. This is too funny not to pass on...enjoy AN ACTUAL CRAIG'S LIST PERSONALS AD To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last. Date: 2009-05-27, 1:43 a.m... E.S.T. I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend's purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message. First, I'd like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn't expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket... The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason.. My girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head ... isn't it?! I know it probably wasn't fun walking back to wherever you'd come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I'm sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again]. After I called your mother or "Momma" as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you'd done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, -- on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 150 gallons and was extremely grateful! I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go's, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!] I then threw your wallet into the big pink "pimp mobile" that was parked at the curb.... after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver's side of the car. Later, I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell phone. Ma Bell just now shut down the line, although I only used the phone for a little over a day now, so what 's going on with that? Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DA's office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target. The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.). In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you ... but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you've chosen to pursue in life.. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day! Thoughtfully yours, Alex
  3. I thought you had to lay them off? (that was an invitation wasn't it .....)
  4. Agreed. Mark is trying to see what site he found it on. Great fun! I'd like to see more about it. MB
  5. Good for you, Paul. Get some snaps up as soon as you like... Have fun.. MB
  6. OK. We've done geography. Moving on....
  7. Think so. Is it a T1/T2 hybrid, then - VW camper based with Beetle body bits....?

    Blimey!

They are amazing. I wish I could find more on them - will do when I get time in the day job. MB

    Blimey!

I think it was Peter in sunny Nebraska who posted the original songs of 1944 thread. Have a look at this for a 1944 classic...get past the song bit and watch them perform.... http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=BNR74UCidBI&feature=player_embedded quite amazing. MB
  10. Very good points. I totally agree because I like variety and we are not sheep. My wish is to see both uniformed and mufti preferences co-existing in happy peace. Can I moderate at this point and ask we don't digress into a debate about wearing uniforms/'playing soldiers'/the secret life of Walter Mitty etc.... and keep with the general theme. Not that it was..just pre-empting...
  11. I think the shade of yellow is ever so slightly incorrect and you should change it immediately to the absolutely correct shade of yellow someone knows to be correct etc. Pass the mallet. M
  12. Welcome to the Friendly Forum. There are plenty of Fox fans on here to help you with info. Cheers, Mark
  13. You gonna keep the yellow scheme, Mark? Interesting. Something different... MB
  14. Welcome to the Friendly Forum, Jim. You have an interesting collection there with lots for us to learn about. The Stalwart looks like it's getting put to good use, which is great. The V100 is definitely an uncommon MV to see. We'd be interested to know what plans you have for her. Best wishes, Mark
  15. The script problem receiving the most attention is around the story's own He Who Must Not Be Named scenario. Unlike Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter, Nigger the dog is a real historic figure. Not bad for a black labrador. Everybody knows this, so in saying it's become boring, I am being boring.....again. How often do we have to remind the 'PC brigade' that however unpleasant the name is, and no one can argue this, Guy Gibson was born in 1918 not 1998 or 2008. When I was a boy in 1968, the local wool shop was still selling colours such a N....r brown and no one batted an eyelid. Time marches on. Context is a word freely available in dictionaries to all - even the politically correct - not so you'd know it. This was a rant - blame it on the day job. Simon's points on the planes is much more interesting. The company building them is owned in whole or in part by Peter Jackson (I believe) and this is why the quality is so strong. His WW1 epic, which exists in part as a test trailer highlighted on here by one of our gang, is great fun.
  16. :rofl:You are in the right place Mike. Good man. Live long and prosper. MB
  17. Working on TPM4, 5 and 6. Too many flipping visitors to have MUTT time. The weather is crap anyway. Have fun. Not too many Easter eggs I hope. Please leave any you don't want in the club house lounge. MB
  18. The script was written by Stephen Fry and the replica scale planes have been built in NZ. I think they are doing all the high end tech stuff before involving expensive humans we recognise. If Peter Jackson is also going to do a WW1 epic, we are in for some fun. There is also to be a new British WW2 film called Age of Heroes. The actors are having commando training at the moment. We had some snaps of them playing with Tommy guns this week at Murdoch towers. The film company are using ex-army types to do proper military stuff with the named types. Watch this space. MB
  19. I think this very serious question is worthy of detailed response. It looks like the types the civvy emergency rebuilding squads used in the war. They were light grey coloured (I guess from mono snaps). So I presume the same unit as the O type for QM trailers. I think a brain is needed here... so fill in the blanks. To the Batmobile... M:D
  20. Hi Paul, I've been reading Jan's account of Corowa this year and found myself looking at last year's snaps. Good to see you've got a slab of a Cent. I think you had a good excuse to miss the show. Good luck with it. MB
  21. How interesting. I can only guess at a ranging device of some sort; so will leave it to the experts.
