    Didn't it go out the other day? I am looking forward to the Olympics with great excitement, especially the opening ceremony. Only because I am excaping to Alaska the next morning for 2 weeks. Mike

    Have you no noticed the strange glowing orb that has appeared in the skies over the UK:shocked: Many people have gone into shock. Others have fled to fallout shelters, tube stations and other underground places to wait out the crisis. Meanwhile those older one who can remember (and think for themselves) have realised it is called the SUN:D As such we are all outside enjoying ourselves and ignoring the computor. I am sure there will be a load of activity when normal service is resumed. Mike

    They could have a points system. 2 points for minor misuse (like in a supermarket check out queue) 3 points for a major infraction (whilst cycling, crossing road, driving) Of course there could also be a financial penalty. Not forgetting at 6 points your phone is confiscated for a month. Mike

    Yes spotted that but was still a dot on the 300mm lens, A Jet Provost/Strikemaster also passed over much late.About 30 minutes or so before I went home. (only half a dozen or so cars left in the public parking by then) Thanks seeing pictures from shows I was not at also something I enjoy. Thanks again, I also have no idea what the little tracked tractor was, hopefully some kind soul will come and tell us. Mike

    That is a well known fact with us who caress, cherish, fiddle, molest (however you want to put it) and lavish our hard earned pounds on our loved ones. Even if the other half does not understand:-D. Sadly the modern motorist seem to treat a car with less attention than a phone. I think thry believe a car is safe (has an airbag after all) but if the phone battery goes flat their life and the world will end. Mike

    Also on the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18146326 I like this bit Owners of classic vehicles will still be legally required to ensure that they are safe and in a proper condition to be on the road At times I think classic vehicles are the only vehicles that are safe and in proper condition to be on the road.     Was a good day at the Bunker Bash today. Despite being in the middle of the wettest drought since Noah built an ark I seem to have caught a bit of sunburn. Thought I would post a few pictures. Yes there was and unscheduled flypast by the BBMF Dakota The potholes at the show are slightly smaller than those on the roads. Mike

    Almost brained myself on the garage door today, must park further away, as I jumped out the back of the Land Rover. Something I do when I hear interesting aircraft, and 4 merlins are very distinctive. No camera handy though. She came down the valley and banked round and went back up. Apparently doing a flypast at Asheridge, a mile or 2 up the road. By all accounts a Lancaster crashed there in 1945. Mike

    Can't help much but I do know that storage charges for caravans are based on size. You may need to take that into account as a jeep takes less room that a Scammell. Mike.

    I was just outside Amersham then. Who knows I could have cycled past your house. Would have been in in 79-81.     Mine is kind of simple Spitfire 1a AR213 taken at a dampish Shoreham in 2008 Remember seeing it many a time a Booker. Used to cycle there every few weeks in the summer when I was younder. That was about 11 miles each way. Must have been mad. One very nice aircraft. Mike

By all accounts Craddocks/Dunsfold had some. Did ot turn out to be wrong part, or did you forget in the excitement of buying more expensive stuff.     Totally agree, was said it jest. Even if the "F" was the only salvageable bit I would not do it. Somehow it does not seem right. The trick is judging when it is worth salvaging or replacing. Mike

    Sadly got to miss it this year. The wife got me tickets at Xnas for the Silverstone MotoGP which is same weekend. Hope it don't rain, could be lucky and have the hosepipe ban lifted by then, that would help:D Mike
