  3. This was supposed to be the one that had been 'gifted'. Or I was told that this was the one. I thought that the exhaust exited out the other side?
  4. So through a fluke we'll call it a fluke I may or may not have a bit of kit that was destined for 'the regiment'. Thanks
  5. Why so rare? You would have thought that loads of these were made
  6. The whole belt pouches and the like came with the Stirling £200 a few years ago
  7. The new foldaway tank built as cheaply as possible by British bankers.... pity that they only funded one side of the 'new' foldaway tank the other side was cancelled by HM government due to budgetary constraints caused by those dodgy bankers
  8. think that this might be what you're after, packed up out of the way at the moment
  9. I recently bought a Distribution box (Inter vehicle starting) off ebay suitable for Ferret / Champ and many others. It was sold as spares or repairs and looks to have been shorted on the inter vehicle starting side. The contacts on the 30 amp circuit breaker look to have been melted together. I have reset the gap on 30 amp breaker by eye (very rough) and I can complete the circuit from one side of the breaker to the other when I press down on the contacts. Would I be better off replacing the whole circuit breaker unit rather than having it go bang later? It has a fair amount of rust which might push me in that direction
  10. They tested this on the gadget show a few weeks back the guy testing it didn't stay on it either.
  11. To limited degree yes thay keep a look out but pulling a master cylinder out would take at least half an hour to do but for what reason a new (nos) one can be bought for £60

  16. Just a thought does the RB44 have to have a tacho fitted? Its not yet 25 years old and I vaguely remember in the latest issue of Windscreen Preston Isaac mentions having been fined £200 for some infringement
  17. If the parts are as good or better than the original no problem the problem begins when a bodger has been at play
  18. Wouldn't fancy changing a run flat tyre on my own and the thought of getting the spare off and replacing it with the flat one..... I like my back
  19. I stand corrected on that one but I wouldn't trust the DVLA to give a consistent answer. It helps to have it in black and white
  20. I've heard of someone doing the opposite marking them with an FV number to make them look original counterfeit?
  21. Whats on the V5 at the moment do you still have part of the V5? The vin or hull number suggests that you’re Ferret was built in 1965 (no V112G MOT exemption for you) Unladen 3683 kg, Laden 4394 kg Info taken from page 18 of the 1969 User Manual pic attached. Go to the council weigh bridge pay £10 pounds or so for the certificate of them, the DVLA will except that as proof of weight. Its odd that they are now asking for the weight and VIN / Hull number given that you are the fifth owner. The build date 1965 might be the reason that they are asking for this info
  22. Think the address might give it away Rocket Base, Misson, Bawtry Doncaster DN10 S.Yorkshire Great Britain See the link below http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?18831-Jacksons-reborn-Van-Kappel&highlight=rocket+site
