  1. With Daily Mail in the sentence that should be enough to know that its plain gossip. They should have red banner behind 'Daily Mail' and join the rest of the red rags
  2. The RB gets better the more I drive it haven't a clue what the mpg is, it starts first time and runs great. Haven't had any wheelies out of it but it does go... brilliant piece of kit. Brakes had to stomp hard on them this past weekend when a clown pulled out on me, it braked in a straight line so I agree thats sorted.
  3. Buy some thick cork 3 to 4mm and make up a new seal yourself I did it for my Ferret change over tap its still working three years later.
  4. Could you put up the pictures again the pictures have decided that they don't want to appear
  5. With a War Department Steam loco pulling it all Riddles 8F?
  6. Didn't even know that the show existed suspect that I'm not the only one. Shout it from the rooftops next time and you might get a few from up north interested If they do go ahead next year please shout a bit louder and you might get me going (heaven forbid some might say).
  7. Nice one always wanted a pennant, hadn't really got down to looking on the tinternet Can I ask how much for one pennant?
  8. Having had a go at off loading some of my kit at Malvern I can suggest a good way of making it a little cheaper for anyone who wants to have a go. Split the bill between two of you, each have one side of the stall for you're rubbi sorry kit. A pitch that costs £50 is then split between two of you making it easier to start making money and getting rid off some of the bits that you have (ex Withams stuff in my case). If tables are available do rent them for the duration and do plan some kind of layout and pricing structure. Don't be inflexible on you're prices either you want to go home with as little as possible! Plus you might get in the good books with the missus and make a profit! As we all know the good books bit only lasts as long as the cash
  9. Its a good bit of work with good aims at the back of it. At least you're vehicle has been in windscreen.... only slightly jealous
  10. Just thought that I'd mention that the pub doesn't do food as far as I know, my food was supplied from the cooks trailer very nice it was too. I stand to be corrected on this. Don't let that stop you from coming over It almost on you're doorstep find a spot in the diary
  11. Magazines do cock up and accidentally miss words out, have a look at this months CMV on one of the first pages you will find a correction to a previously titled picture / owner of a vehicle. These things happen as we all know the editor of Windscreen might only have had a small amount of space and to many words / characters. Its not a bad looking job
  12. Suspect that the data plate is an original its smaller than the later style of plates
  13. I think it was damaged before it got to Withams. I just about remember looking at it with Matt. Even took a few pictures except mine are completely out off focus, I blame my mobile phone camera
  14. Hi All I've been asked by Mark from the West Lancs MVT if I could post up a flyer for The Scotch Piper Inn on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd October 2010 in Southport. 15. That wouldn't be the infamous spaghetti tree would it?
  16. If you need to have it weighed for the DVLA you're local municipal tip will have a weigh bridge (where the bin wagons empty out the garbage).
  17. On the scrounge... Bobs patched a Ferret exhaust for me Thanks Bob
  18. The basic answer seems to be no you can't register them for the road and the ones that are registered with the DVLA should not have been. If I had the money I'd buy one
  19. Looked good when I saw it this morning!
  20. [video=youtube;k3rn-Rd0h2E]
  21. Crying shame really you would have thought that we had learned a lesson with the passing of some of the larger wartime ships that have been passed to other countries.
  22. I'm sad to say that most museums don't share that view they see them as a colossal drain on there funds. And as we know at this point in time the country has no money.
  23. Thanks for the info Steve I do remember seeing an army display which had a Vickers on display in Sale town centre, it must have been mid eighties. Long time ago. I also recall something an the news about the Army recreating a 1st WW1 machine gun section 1990's?
