  1. Whenever underneath or under bonnet take the keys out of the ignition and/or disconnect batteries. I have seen to many close calls and fatal instances because of people not doing this. If you need the keys in the ignition and you have a someone helping you make sure they know exactly what they are doing and can hear/see you.
  2. Always keep a selection on nuts, bolts, connections,tape,zip-ties and wire in a toolbox, and always retain the "wing nuts and bolts".
  3. Always have a big hammer, and then a bigger one after that.
  4. Try this 1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1941-NSU-Kettenkrad-and-trailer-/330530698490?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4cf52a34fa#ht_500wt_949
  5. It's a real shame to see all these tanks rusting away. it does look like they have had alot of parts taken off tho. Still better to see them there than at a scrap yard waiting for the gas-axe. Now comes the questions who's off to collect them??
  6. Not LED related i know, but with a bit of rewireing these could easly be adapted to workinglights on the rear of any of our military vehicle and can be removed in seconds. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380294890634&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

  10. I plan on adding indicators and twin rear lights/braking lights to my dodge however they shall be able to be removed in a matter of minuets for shows. It juts adds a little bit of safety on the road for all the other road users who choose not to keep a safe distance behined you.
  11. You say this but if some of this kit was hidden away for use after the posable invasion of Britain then it was only known to a few people and they kept their secrets for many years after the war, i have been told of several of them stil haveing weapons and munitions stashed in their sheds or under their stairs. One of which still used explosives to remove tree tumps in his garden. I dont believe that the locations of all the dumps/stashes of kit where well documented at goverment level more likely only the locals would of known.
  12. Not sure about that for the gmc (still 6v) all we do is wire a 12v one to a seperate car batt in the back, lasts longenough for most journys till it can be recharged
  13. Try to explain that to you insurance. "so how did this happen? a cannon barrel you say?on the main road?" :nut:
  14. Looks very interesting, and does make you wonder how many more places like this there are, oh the possibilities of finding some vehicles and kit that many thought were only confined to museums. Look forward to more pics.

    Your fisrt MV?

My first proper contact that i can remember would of been when i was 9, in a L/R 90 driving across the downs, was a good day, saw live firing from the nastys and even clambered over some old chieftains that had been stripped ready for range targets. My first owned and one i still have is a Dodge WC-52.
  21. In Germany it is law to clear the footpath in front of your house, we have to spend a lot of time clearing all pathways around our hangers, if we didn't and a german civi were to fall over, we would get a hefty fine and bill for his injuries. how hard would it be to have this law instated in Britain, at least it would help the less abled to get around easier.
  22. So this is the new tarmac delivery system eh, isn't tarmac usually black?
