  5. Ok here we go. Fri 8th one bedford MJ on civi recovery heading south from leicster area around mid day, also a lowloader with 5 MJ's piled up ontop of eachother, one was minus all wheels heading south on m1 in early afternoon. also one lone wolf heading north around the same time at a fair rate of nots. Sat 10th, several packets from a convoy 1st was L/R's 2nd was L/R's and two pinz 6x6 with light guns in tow (displaying scots flag), 3rd and 4th where mixed sv's and a 1 daf with dual water bowser in trailer.
  6. Another very simple tool is a test lamp, can be very usefull when trying to diagnose all those electrical gremlines. All i use is an old convoy light that way it can stay in my tool box and wont get damaged. Another thing i keep in my tool box is a length of adjustable strap to restrain L/R bonnets from falling on me if i need them right up to access the turbo etc.

  14. As craftys and lcpls etc its all about who can get away with what, its a game against the snco's, cap badges creep round side'es creep down slowly, hair grows over the limit etc, just are way of lifting moral and getting one up on them. I asume as more and more people moved their cap badges around it took over as the norm and was deemed acceptable to have it that little further round, how ever some people do still like you to wear it over the left eye, just depends on your unit as some are a little more senstive to your dress than others.

  19. From what i have seen in my army service the MJ would win hands down, if your planning on going off road an MJ with N.D.T will go just about any where, as for the DAF they have always had the reputation for being alittle more road bassed shall we say. even now as the SV flet roll in i know alot of serving personel from VM's to drivers that would pick an MJ for there choice in vehicles.
  20. Two words f*** that. And i would hope the company provided me a parachute just to look at it let alone climb it.

  23. Aslong as you have some mechanical knowledge then you should be fine, bikes are very simple and easy to do. before you start i would advise you get hold of the parts and maintanance manuals to read as these give you a good idea of what your doing. There are a number of other forums for bikes that mite know ref spares. i.e. http://www.triumphrat.net/forum.php a quick google search will yeild a selection of sites.
