  1. It would have been nice to see the recovery vehicles. I wonder if they had the uprated turbo donk.
  2. If you look up lockwire pliers on ebay you normally get the pliers plus the wire http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Safety-Lock-Twist-Wire-Pliers-9-Inch-Complete-With-30m-Lock-Wire/251299078987?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D16728%26meid%3D512887384327233096%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D7906%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D310370089525%26 The pliers make life so much easier as they clamp and twist the wire but are extremely useful in their own right as the extra length makes them very useful for yanking split pins out etc. I been looking for another set as mine got borrowed. If you use pliers just don't over twist, from memory you use around 25 per inch. Another useful tool is this gadget for drilling bolt heads, shanks or nuts http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290955930697?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:VRI&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2661 something I need for some nuts on my truck
  3. One of my favourite Land Rovers......... congrats I think I got some info books on them...... need to dig around my hdd as I was going to buy one but always none available when I got cash in my pocket, hence the Lightweight then the Acmat
  4. Can you take a close up photo of the fracture face? That's really interesting. Was the crack in the same location on each leaf?
  5. Still haven't found the chassis number as yet I could not get LH and RH Acmat seats with integrated seatbelts as only had RH ones. Typical costs are around 800 - 1000 Euro per piece with not much selection out there. I needed lap and sash seats for Aussie regulations but I found on a custom forum that BMW E46 convertible seats are often used in old restorations for that extra bit of safety. The main thing to bear in mind with these type of seats is that all the force in the event of an accident goes through the seat base so you have to beef up the floor mounts
  6. he must of been having a really bad day :wow:
