Not much I can really do being on the other side of the planet, but have been working on and off at making these weird latch pieces as the rear uprights on mine have been cut off. Not sure why they are designed this way but are not from Acmat (well they don't want to admit to them anyway) Finally after months the blanks have been made from the photo I got from a fellow Acmat owner, so you can see I am having to guesstimate a bit. Missing a groove but mostly done as I will grind it rounder later but I am not going for a perfect copy as thinking chunkier is stronger. Good to get it done as I wont have time to play around when I fly in Damn I just realised there is a cap on the rear upright. Anyone got a dimension of the rear upright and the hole diameter in the top??

The fuel tap just looks like the standard Land Rover Enots bit?

Photos would be nice as that is the first thing I have to find when I get to the barn in the UK. Hopefully it is going to be easy to find :undecided:

Looks like I will be in the UK at the end of October. So will make a concerted effort to find the numbers as need the dvla form to be correct,,, I don't have the small plate unfortunately. I am hoping to get a new one from Acmat

I'll be under mine tomorrow if you need a dimension from some point to another. Just a curve ball it is a normal diff and rod? I know there is special rods for the Salisbury front diff (but I think they only did that in 110 Snatches and a few others). There was also some other diff that was used at a later date, not as strong as a sals but better than the original (but not sure if the housing is different, requiring a different rod like the sals).

I saw a German vehicle was similar without the front fenders but there was no description of what it was and the angle of the photo didn't show the wheels or chassis. Trawling thru all the other Fiat stuff was a blank as found a good website for that (was thinking the wheels may of been on another Fiat but all the other body styles are very different) Have to find a good Daimler site tomorrow lunchtime

I am by no means an expert on ww1 stuff, but was bored at lunchtime Could it be a Berliet or a liberty truck as they had comparable vertical slits in the hood? I was trying to find something with those similar drag link arm "things" but most have toolboxes fitted there. Also your picture is RHD so not sure if what I just mentioned ever were made that way. Might have to go back to mage searching..... nice puzzle

The body language is interesting..... the RHS guys appear nonchalant as if to say "she'll be right mate!" The LHS one striper looks like he's thinking "why am I here" and the guy with his hands on his hips is thinking "is that the best BS excuse you guys can come up with"

I was wondering if a Humvee but thought whats it doing in the middle of two Brit vehicles

I 100% confirmed that Pinzgauers were delivered by BAE in Austrian army green (RAL6031) and oversprayed or rolled with a variety of colours, then standardised to RAL colour codes 1002, 1015 and RAL1019. Other codes I was passed from BAE was an Austrian paint Code called B40 and Aerodex 735068 (which I cannot find any reference). At the time I thought it was a bit odd as I am talking about when BAE made Pinzgauers in the UK, not fabricated by Steyr Daimler Puch in Austria. The only paint colour I could not confirm was the rolled on stuff as was a quick fix I suppose. I realise I am talking Pinz specific, but given the range of colours I wonder what else was painted the more yellowish than beige version of paint, given that BAE is rather big. To the eye most vehicles appear to be leaning towards the yellowish end than the beige, which also is similar to the American colour. A row of Pinz at Guildford [ATTACH=CONFIG]81018[/ATTACH] I was told this was the temp stuff as in a lot of pictures you can see it peeling off in large sections [ATTACH=CONFIG]81023[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]81020[/ATTACH] Light stone. There are several types. For example I know the Pinzgauers had a roll on waterbased one splashed on before GW2 then they started delivery of them in a RAL colour code (not a BS code). RAL 1002 is one I know of and "from memory" the BS light Stone is 381C 361 I got a few more RAL numbers but are on my home computer and I'm in China tonight

just look on ebay, some photos can easilly go 10 quid each and upwards. Depends on whats in it, rarity etc and if someone wants it. Wanting it is the interesting variable as depends what someone is collecting, could be a truck, a place, a unit, a person etc sad to see an album broken up, but better than the bin
