  7. Oh that's a bugger. Does anyone know how many tracked vehicles are likely to be going? I'm torn at the moment between TiT, great Dorset steam fair and rolling steel in holland that weekend.
  8. This is terrible news, a Pioneer cab is a surprisingly flimsy construction and wouldn't be a good place to be in a crash. Hope everyone is ok. Sad as it is he shouldn't have been on the motorway since a pioneer isn't capable of the minimum required speed for a motorway. Richard
  9. Hello niel, Welcome to the forum, and good luck in your quest to find a Pioneer. You are in good Scamelling company here. I'd suggest that you go for an artillery or breakdown tractor instead of a tank transporter because the transporters only manage 17 mph on the road while the artillery and breakdowns manage a comparatively sprightly 24 mph. All the best, Richard
  10. Hi Dave, Welcome to HMVF and good luck in your quest to find a Pioneer. From my experiences to date of restoring our Pioneer i would say that finding one with a good engine is number one priority and good gearbox number two priority. Although Pioneer gearboxes can seem all good and work fine but be hiding some hidden nasties - see my resto thread, link in my signature below. All the best, Richard
