  1. I used to do a Cat 631 with 5 Lts. of u/coat and 7 of top coat and about 1 1/2 of thinners and Two days in a haze.
  2. It depends, Brush or Spray or Airless. Then the individual painter how thick he has each coat or the temperature. Or how much thinners is used. Nothing is simple. Thinners is to help the paint through the gun and to start the hardening process of the paint.

  9. Hello ever tried waterless coolant It is much kinder to liners and aluminium bits. It is pricey but pays dividends. Especially on engines running close to boiling point.
  10. Does not hurt to read tyre wall infomation, It is not only the maximum presure that is maked on the sidewall. Not all same size tyres have the same pressure envelope. Anything that stops the incidence of tyre fitters exiting the building involutarily through the roof or wall because they did not read the available information has to be a good start. Manifacturers handbooks relate to original equipment.

  15. If you get a handle that holds a broken hacksaw blade you should be able to work it up the gap. A dremel is also quite usefull as you can use it in confined spaces. Some of the welds you will be able to drill a series of small holes and then cut through them to join them up.You may have enough space to use a jig saw on some of them. Plenty of penitrating oil on the slides and hinges.

  17. A fine piece of restoration is nearly completed. Your enthusiasm for the project and attention to detail is just astonishing. Thank you for bringing this complex piece of engineering back to life. Those pieces of timber look wonderfull.
