  1. I see your location is Spalding, I used to squeeze into H Leverton there with a low loader years ago. Also overnighted at Fowler Welch a few times.
  2. I would imagine it was a repeat but the C4 program last night was interesting. In a shed on the south coast a Valentine DD tank under a sheet.
  3. It is like looking for the last item to finish a job. "How on earth did that get over there"! Or words to that effect.
  4. You must get a definative view from the DVLA Medical branch, there is to much at stake to guess. I have been through it for Heart attacks. They are very helpfull but a phone call is a must. Get their answer in it in writing.
  5. Have a look around and see what is available in the replacement lump department. A straight swap may work out cheaper, and you can do it yourself with a bit of help from friends.
  6. I heard my brother say once when I had the gas axe in my hand, Give him half an hour an we willl know if he is fixing it or scrapping it. I learnt the hard way to plan be there at least an hour after using it, Ideally be on site 4 hours after using a set of cutting gear fire watching, to make sure everything is O.K. I have found a smouldering rag nowhere near the work area Two hours later.
  7. Went to the Chemical plant at Burntisland twice it rained. I brought the Scotsman paper It rained every night. I fell out with the idiot planner at TNT on that job. I have delivered to the meat plant at Perth I used to hope it was raining to kill the smell. I also used to bring Lime up around Perth and went to the big laundry with hotel items. I tried to sleep overnight outside a quarry east of Perth and overhead they were pilot training and on the ground the hunters were out with 12 bores. It also rained. You need cover.
  8. You seem a bit happier Only problem I found using the gas axe was the fire extingisher was not big enough.
  9. Once you have started keep going, you cannot hurt it. Take things off in order and keep like for like together. Plastic boxes are invaluable. Have you got a manual or Googled disasembly. Do not spend money unless you realy have to, You have support.
  10. I also have a few 1st and 2nd world war publications.
  11. I have some Fenders FV 2024125. NSN 2510 99 256 8416, and Guards NSN 2510 99 256 8416
  12. I have a wooden box and wondered if anyone knew what it had been used to hold. It has some information on one end.
  13. Looks as if they are having a day out, not participating in a pivitol day in history. I wonder if it could be a beach sector colour board. In Normandy the beaches were split into three colour sectors I believe. What is that trolly just past the cable reel down the beach?
  14. If you can get it in the dry, and start dismantling. There are people on this forum with the knowledge and will be prepared to talk you through it. Save on garage expense.
  15. Tacho calibration is a specialist job. Talk to your local dealer they will be able to advise you with up to date information. A 2 year seal can only be fitted by an approved fitter and dealership. I think I have a s/hand tacho head that I bought and have not used.
  16. Dodge dumper has an 9 figure number on the bonnet 3rd from the left is a 6 followed by a 4. It has a square section beam tied to the body posibly part of an overhead gantry. Dodge D60 has an emblem on the front of the right mudguard, Light background square with a V or V shaped emblem. Road roller has a 45 gallon drum in the ballast/tool box on the front. I wonder if they have been running fuel out of the rail tank as the manhole cover is open.
  17. Someone has spent a lot of time and Money on that truck since it left Wolverhampton. Full credit to whoever it was for saving a now good example that needs finishing. Getting it on the right rubber is going to be expensive
  18. There is an emblem and number on the side of the steam engine cab. There is also a number on the Dodge dumper bonnet. I think the vehicle just leaving the shot to the right is another Dodge dumper, It apears to have a stone chip spreader in place of the tailboard.
  19. Some more bits.Morris C4/C8 door flaps. Flaps now sold thank you for looking.
