Chappers Posted June 10, 2009 Share Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) We stayed at Asnells just outside Arromanches for the D-Day celebrations but as we left on the 7th we went past the War memorial and was shocked to see this We tried to put it back but was stopped by the officials for some reason,the Police had already been and taken photos so I couldn't understand them leaving the area in such a disgraceful way. Both scrap yards recognised they were plaques when they examined them and alerted the police.
