Simon Daymond
Same here, RS were not interested in helping out & said it was all down to KGM.. ...and that's the sort of thing I want to know about, the premium is important, but more so is the vehicle, it's not just something I own, but it's my hobby etc, and if it were damaged I would want it sorting pronto, and by people who a. want to help and b. know what they're talking about. So if RS or whatever name they go by just take your money but then let the underwriter sort it, then next time around I would go elsewhere (even if it were more money)

Lord Burley
I phoned Footman James this afternoon to get a quote on my vehicles.Only to be told that if i wanted to a multi vehicle policy, then i needed to add a private car to the policy,or take out three individual policys.Cant see where i will be making a saving here. Also seems like a lot of hastle with three individual policys. 84KB11
Interesting, that is the complete opposite to what they told me! I was told that I could not have my private car on the multi-vehicle policy. FJ said that to qualify for the classic commercial policy (multi vehicle), I had to have my every day car insured on another policy (it did not have to be with them). So, I have the Jag on one policy and all the MV's on a classic commercial policy. Will be interesting to hear how you get on with yours, as it would be easier if I could move them all onto the one policy.

I think this is standard practise with all specialist Insurance.. it's to make sure your not using it for your everyday car cover.. I'm insured with FMJ -Multi Vehicle & all they asked is am I Insured on an ordinary policy... think there's a bit on the proposal form where you declare this.. 84KB11
Hi Lee, Yes, that's what I thought too. Just confused me that "Lord Burley's" post seemed to contradict this, unless I read it wrong, which is quite possible!

ArtistsRifles
You sure you rang FJ ?? Only that sounds like the conversation I had with Premium Choice last year... The guy I spoke to at FJ could not have been more helpful!!!
Nick Johns
Found FJ very helpfull, started a new policy end of last year got three Jeeps, two are unregistered, and Dodge on one policy, they wouldnt insure the trailer though, they also asked about insuring my pick up truck and offered to quote when its due for renewal Edited February 19, 2009 by Nick Johns
Tony B
I'm still with Roadsure, they cover the 101 the Dodge and the Range Rover, 'cause it's 4x4 and modified. As for the Volvo, I did ask them but their advice was 'We'd love to quote, but it would be enormus, we don't cover normal vehicles, try one of the comparison sites'. :??? Lord Burley
Well gave FJ another call today. And at last someone who knew what they were talking about. Now my premium last year from Roadsure or what ever they are called was £570 including break down cover on the Ferret. My quote from FJ was £213 for the Jeep LR101 and Ferret. The break down cover i will sort out seperatley as Neil mentioned.Nice result. Tony B
If the vehicle weight is under 2.5 tons, Green Flag are quite hapy to cover MV's. I have their any vehicle policy £120 a year, they have got me out of some nasty scrapes over the years.
Lord Burley
The LR and the Jeep are covered on my RAC policy. But the Ferret due to weight, will have to be covered by someone else.
Richard Hughes
I know I started this thread ages ago but i recently tracked these guys down for vehicle insurance they were really helpful and did me a good price (better than everyone else). They even have an offer on at the moment so thought I should share with everyone. Cheers Richard militarysheetcompliancechecked1.pdf
