seabee
Hello, My name is Chris, I live in North Yorkshire. I have a Willys Jeep 1943 and do re-enactment as US Nvay Construction Battalion. We call our group Sons of Beaches. Fortunately my wife is into the hobby as well and does ATS. Chris

Wise advice from Mark, always offer the biscuits to Bernie and keep your feet off the settee when she is around That'll be Seebeas like this then Chris! John Pearson
Welcome Chris Did you do the Willys restoration yourself or did you buy it as a goer?
seabee
Tim , good picture .. Iwill try and model myself on the tall handsome bloke at the back, wearing the peaked cap. I don't think the Dixie cup would suit me. John, We bought the jeep as fully restored, and , I quote no expense spared, original parts used wherever possible last May. Since then we have spent £1,500 plus and still have a little way to go. Fortunately it hasn't cost me anything for labour. I tried to post a picture, but as yet have not worked out how to do it. I will confiscate the wife's secret hoard of hobnobs for Berni, as she is not supposed to be eating them as ATS uniforms always come in small sizes. Jessie The Jeep
You can't "upload" pictures to this forum, you need a picture host like Photobucket or Pix8 to host your pictures. You then link to them using the [img=http://www.yourhost.com/yourpicture] There is a thread somewhere on this forum that explains it a little better. Jessie The Jeep
A picture of about 600 pixels wide is a good compromise on size. Steve

berni
hi seabee, welcome aboard, I recognise your name from the reenacting forum. You'll have to get your other half to log on as well to boost the female side of the hobby. I too portray ATS & have done a few events over the years although not to many lately as i find it easier to dress as a plain housewife. hope you can find some useful info here cheers berni
