ashley
Then the other source of objects would be from donations or purchases from collectors of historic vehicles . Do they have sufficient space for these, I guess I m wondering if they are including other things still WWII but not currently in the collection , Soviet , Italian , South African .......... Mmm i realy don`t know, best ask the Dutch posse, but as the area is an ex battlefield i dont know how far they could expand if they wanted to. On site they do have Russian armour and a good display of cold war /soviet vehicles. I am afraid i am not in a position to answer your questions but i am sure thw Dutch guy`s may be able to help. ford 369
as all the vehicles are supposed to run you had better not show Jack the GMC with the snow shoes strapped to the side

ArtistsRifles
Got a few more off my camera at last (I'm getting as bad as Jack here....): First off - it's not fair!! They have two DUKWs and I can't get one!! :-(  Then - for Jack - this GMC works even without the back half attached Some High Speed Tractors A lot of people wanted to take this one home: Edited February 9, 2009 by ArtistsRifles
ArtistsRifles
And some more: Refitting the track to the Panther ausf G: Another one for Jack: And one for Tim (Great War Truck): Soviet IS-2 (Josef Stalin 2) Interesting picture on the museum wall:
ArtistsRifles
And on a sobering note - the turret on this Sherman is a bit out of place: And this is why - the shell hole was made by the dreaded German 88mm - all the crew were killed and are buried in the nearby war cemetery: Back in the museum itself - nice little halftrack that could be either ski's or wheels on the front axle: A nice BSA B40: One for the Weasel fans amongst us: Other than one of the DUKW's this is the truck I would have taken home - a nice MACK: And a Canadian Ford:

ashley
Right `o The next few images shows some more vehicles including those which were the last to be recovered from the surrounding battlefield. The cromwell looks pretty complete on the exterior but as shown the interior is pretty well rusted in places. The second group of pictures go to show the `Home Front` aspect of holland to include different conflicts of other nations. enjoy Ps post war to follow soon !
