.303fan
If i could store some spares i got asked, no problem i said... mid way through the move i was the owner of the parts minus a diesel engine and some other bits. I have enough to rebuild a 1961 109 but instead of a RHD i have a LHD 1961 steering column in the parts pile. I am impressed with my wife, she welcomed the project. Tony B
You could have gone down the Airfix route you know. 😁

It was fun the day he did maintenance ... my dog came to see if he was ok, had to tell my nephew her black spots might rub off this trip

.303fan
Might put all my land rover issues here... in January a scaffold fell and landed on my dad's 109. It was a aluminium one they told me and damages were a mirror and arm. The picture i got yesterday was of a Layer system scaffold, steel pipes... extra damage i found was: the left bulkhead to chassis foot snapped, so i will be prepping and welding today with gasless wire, i have old chassis steel to practice on. .303fan
This week was spend working in the garden and getting the axles of two halfs of chassis. The springs need some work but can be fit to the 109 chassis when i can start welding and fabricating on it. The gearbox crossmember is one i did not see before, i will cut it out the chassis with some other features like a welded on steering damper bracket that was factory fitted for a pre railko bust front axle. Mongo gets a 2.25 petrol engine with LPG, i need to figure out if i can cram two tanks in there, with a military fueltank as extra under the seat. My seatbox has the box under the left seat where a 2nd battery was fitted on a diesel. Still, parts donations are great, if people want to donate some stuff i won't knock it.
