Scammell4199
Why is the Marshall Museum in Overloon selling vehicles? http://www.milweb.net/webvert/79059 Are there changes afoot? Richard
N.O.S.
I believe the museum is concentrating on WW2 aspects of local military history and MVs. They were rumoured to be disposing of their Cold War era MVs a while ago. I noticed the 1950s USAF LeToruneau aircraft recovery crane on Milweb a week or so back, and now this Oshkosh. I think this Oshkosh W712 is an early 1950s model.
monty2
I'm no sure, but part of the collection is an heritage of mr. de Groot (the old army cars of Zwijndrecht) . Maybe his family want to sell now.
Markheliops
As far as I know - the museum has been sold to someone!
oats and barley
a dutchman prominent in military vehicles circles told me another death was involved:(
FW200
I bought my BRDM-2 there a year ago and they were indeed selling all post-war vehicles that weren't in Dutch use.. Quite a shame, especially since the new military museum in soesterberg has become quite boring as well..
