jdmcm
Ok keen eyes, what type of field gear is hanging on the front right and left of Fury's turret? I can recognize the musette bags and of course helmets and such, but what are the long rolls hanging on either side?
fesm_ndt
Timber logs in an attempt to gain extra protection I saw this video recently and it covers most of the Fury screen play script...... thought it was very interesting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEeQPUp5VTY I say an attempt as the video shows a few different ideas crews did to add protection
paul_bish
Do you mean the items on the turret? I would assume they are bedding rolls of some sort, blankets etc
Tim Isaac
They were just rolls of canvas I believe. Possibly kit bags.

robin craig
Does anyone here have any knowledge of how the Shielder was converted to become the Sherman mule for filming? Someone must know something R
Adrian Barrell
They cut the top off the Shielder, moved the drivers controls forward and placed a mock up Sherman hull on top. No great mystery!

Enigma
They are probably canvas tarps to make a shelter. Simply attach it to the tank and stratch to form a flysheet to sleep under. That's at least what the halftrack and tank crews in the 2nd armored re-enacting group does when on tour.
