Both will result in hands making visits to pockets numerous times - probably even daily - BUT: Dogs life span - on average = 14 years Childs life span - on average = till your dying day And you can choose the dog!!!! Funny I'd take a dog over the child every time & I'd agree with AR . One of them likes to bring live mice into my bedroom and put them in my trainers. The other one sleeps and moults and can't fit through the catflap. The kids aren't much different.
