GeePig
That's an unusual trailer they are using, and I see they have another waiting on the landing craft. trevor

GeePig
Tracked 45 ton recovery trailer http://wwiimodeller.co.nz/tag/accurate-armour-k189-45-ton-tracked-recovery-trailer/ Nice, do you know if any exist? I suppose that in delivering the locomotives, they were also delivering the trailers to the theatre as well. trevor
t16s
Does anyone have contact details for Andrew Bettney and Paul Marriot? I'd like to contact them to see if they will let me see the D8 and take detail photos of it for modelling one at 1/76 scale. Stuart
Tony Graves
hi, am i right in thinking that those tracked trailers were made by boulton and paul, also famous for their fighter in the battle of britain. all the best tony g.

You are correct and the fighter you mention was the Defiant which was fitted with a gun turret and had some success when first introduced but German pilots soon realised it's shortcomings and it had to be withdrawn from daylight operations and was subsequently used as a night fighter.
