DFC1943Fl.Lt. Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Hi all, I'm looking for a replacement Dingo distributor complete with cap, points and rotor arm. Any help would be appreciated. Also a set of non screened plug leads, need to change the whole set up as its a nightmare with what I've got. A mate has changed his to a single set points system and says it is a lot easier. TIA. Steve. Quote
Richard Farrant Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Steve, I assume you need a conventional car type distributor (ie, not screened). The one that will suit is the one fitted to Daimler DB18 car or similar with the 2.5 engine. I have recently found one for a Dingo engine I am building. If you get the correct one you will know it is the correct rotation and advance degree. Try looking up people who deal with classic Daimlers. 1 Quote
REME 245 Posted October 20 Posted October 20 There are Distributor Caps for Mk3's and Rotor Arms on e-bay. You can buy an electronic ignition kits for Dingo's which will replace the points. You can make up your own civilian plugs leads from commercially available components. 1 Quote
