0 ltwtbarmy
the 6x 50x16 bar grips where used on early landrovers jeeps some champs and quarter and half ton trailers but l do not recall seeing them on light weights as they had HI MILER GOODYEAR ULTRA GRIPS FITTED On Mark Cook's book, there are numerous instances of Lightweights with bar grips fitted, from prototypes to in service rover 1s, and also series 3s. And didn't the early lightweight series 3s come fitted with Dunlop Trak edge as standard, and were then changed to xtragrip grips and/or Michelin XCLs later? regards Martin

0 Roof Over Britain
the 6x 50x16 bar grips where used on early landrovers jeeps some champs and quarter and half ton trailers but l do not recall seeing them on light weights as they had HI MILER GOODYEAR ULTRA GRIPS FITTED Bar grips certainly were not that common on the light weights, but surely jeeps and series 1s & 2s (SWB) were fitted with 600 X 16s

0 Roof Over Britain
I think Wally, it just goes to yet again prove that you can never say " that never happened" because somebody somewhere will prove you wrong. No doubt both 6.00 and 6.50 sizes were fitted depending what was available from the manufactures at the time.
0 volvoc303
first batch off light weights we had which were fg reg were fitted 650x16 bar grips trailers had 600x16 the dm el reg swb some had bar grips from new some came with firestones some with goodyears and some with dunlops but all were 650x16 we used to take the spareswheels off the long wheel base l/r to the five star rally as they had 750x16 gave a bit more ground clearance
