I am trying to get some information on a Morris - Crane converted lorry from WW2. I am not in a position to get the information so any help anyone can add would be good.

It is a earlier Morris C8. It was converted from a gun wagon to have a small crane known as a Hydrophone crane I believe.

Someone informed me that these we converted to be used on D-Day 1944 on the Mulberry Harbour and UK ports?

Is there any pictures around? The Chassis number I have been informed is T322, if this means anything?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Danny

Danny,Beware the assumption that this is a wartime conversion. I seem to recollect that the C8 chassis was the basis for a crane conversion that was marketed postwar.Regards, david.
Indeed, i seem to recall seeing this on this very forum, I would suggest that Danny do a search on this forum as he would at least then confirm the style of conversion as thier were photo,s attached.Regards Tim
