b2414
That’s the best bit of shunting I have seen in a long time and I did not know they fitted in to a garage this as given me food for thought nice vid by the way. Cheers Bill:cool:
timbo
Paul Impressive ingenuity there - a real pleasure to meet you the other day and put a face to a name. I am gradually working my way through my sabre and have been keeping pics which i will post one day! Not going at the same pace or doing the same amount of work as you but following your blog has inspired me to paint a few things while i am changing my J60. Look forward to seeing the engine and box installed.. Cheers Tim
PDonovan
Cheers Bill. The only change I had to make to the garage was to remove the up & over door, to give max height, and instead convert it to a sliding door !

andym
You couldn't have done that with the Abbot! Mind you, if you'd dropped the engine in first it could have done it by itself ... :-) Andy
David Herbert
Nice bit of shunting and camera work. Its not easy to do a job and film it yourself too - you keep forgeting to move the camera or turn it on and off. The thing that most impresses me is that in an obviously built up area no one was sufficently curious to come and watch - does this happen every day on your estate ? David Luckily not too many people came past while we were in action..... and all my immediate neighbours are used to strange this going on at our house !! I hadn't appreciated which end of the garage was the working space. It's coming along very nicely. Andy
timbo
Good work Paul, did you use an engine crane to drop it in? Im now ready to remove the engine from my Sabre, but have had to put an extension onto the crane (about 16 inches), to make sure I can get central on the engine. Im also not planning to remove the bulkhead if I can avoid it (it has a LOT of stuff bolted to it). Pretty sure it will work, but just have a slight worry it might now overbalance - time will tell, just going to take it steady and see what happens!
