00EC29
Just found Ferret here in Finland and bought it. It,s an FV704 MK 1/2 A and the reg is 00EC29. Where could I find out abouth my Ferret's history and mayby find some service pictures. It is the model with the fixt halfturret. Lacking a lot of godies from it like the window when drivers hatch open, the shovel, firebottles, antenna and mounts on foward deck and the hole mount on the back of the turret.I would also need a deact Bren gun with vehicle mount etc. Lookin foward hearing from someone who knows. Fugly
Good luck with the ferret ! Lots of info available on Andy's wonderful website about ferrets : http://www.ferret-fv701.co.uk I am sure dealers and colectors in the UK can help your source parts . There are plenty of instruction manuals about and help and advice from other owners. My advice is watch you don't trap your fingers in the escape hatch ( Hatch rash...) and make sure everything that needs oil and water has oil and water  Bovington tank museum may be able to provide the service history for teh vehicle. Peter4456
If you email, write or phone the Tank Museum at Bovington they will, for a fee, send you the Vehicle History Card for your Ferret - they will email you a copy. Once you've got it, post it on here or PM me and I'll translate it from Army Speak into English for you!

Once you've got it, post it on here or PM me and I'll translate it from Army Speak into English for you! Peter I own Ferret 03CC17 which I have imported from England to Australia. On forum you indicated you could translate army information. Please see attached, I understand some of it but not 100% sure of what it all means. One item of information which does not seem to be there is the disposal date. Thanks in anticipation. Ken
m109a3uk
Looks like it was a busy little Ferret.
Peter4456
Ken, Please see attached my 'translation' of your Ferret's history card - a busy little Ferret indeed! Interesting to see a lot of late 80s UK service but only a short time with each regiment - there must be story there! Having complied a few of these histories now, many just end with no disposal information - including my own Ferret, 03 CC 42! Ken The 419B shows 25 Fd Regt RA January 1978. It will have been in Paderborn / Sennelager (I cannot now remember whether 25 were in Barker Bks Paderborn - my preferred guess - or nearby Sennelager). I was in Alanbrooke Bks Paderborn with 15/19H at the time.

AlienFTM
I think 39 Regt RA were at Barker, and 25 regt RA were at Sennelager. Barryu I was pretty sure 39 were at Dempsey. When I made the RAPC BAOR shooting team for Corpsaam in 1984, I overnighted with 39 the night before we travelled back courtesy their paymaster who was OC team. But it was so-o-o-o long ago ... I am sure 3RTR Armoured Farmers on Arrse keep banging on about sharing Barker with 25.
