Its not the colour of your tent you need to worry about at W&P but the amount of cash you will need to stay for there!

Nothing to camp if you are a 2 year+ IMPS member... £25.00 for 2 adults + 2 Children if not...

A £25 facility fee is payable for each military vehicle entry and entitles you to two adult and two child (3-15 inclusive) passes and a camping pitch for the week.

Spending money, as much or little as you want

I've used a civvy tent before (Blue) with no problems. It's other people you have to worry about, complaining your next to their set up with a "civvy" tent. Chuck a cam net over it to keep those quiet, after all you have to pay to get in so use what you want!!

As with any camping site if you are leaving your camp make sure you lock any valables up. If your a member of the MVT or IMPS find out if your local area club is having there own area at W & P and camp in with friends. Make sure your far enough away from any of the beer tents unless you like being kept awake till 3am :-D. W & P is a great show with plenty to see and do so hope you enjoy yourself.

Nothing to worry about, it's a fantastic show. If you are there all week and you like your home comforts you might want to book a portaloo as the loos last year were a nightmare.

Park well away from the beer tents and funfare for a decent nights sleep.

Take a means of burning logs for a nice camp fire to keep you warm (it does get cold)

Take LOTS of money for the stalls.

Get there as early as you can to ensure you get a space. If you turn up Wednesday onwards you might struggle to find a decent pitch.

Make sure at least one person is with the vehicles and tents when you go for a wonder, stuff does go missing.

Bring a duster as the dust can be a nightmare - and wellies incase it rains.

Keep an eye on your kids after the show closes to the public each night as there are Tanks down to push bikes running around all over the place.

Take plenty of food and beer to keep you going and if you need any extra exit the show and walk or drive to the garage that's just outside or down into Paddock Wood as the prices are a LOT cheaper.

Enjoy and see you there!!!!

Yes, I've been there three times and am booked in again this year. It's a good show, with free entry to the museum, but they are very funny about civvy tents at this show. You will need to cover it for sure at this one. It's also going to be this years AGM for the MVT.

HHmmmm it used to be "green camping" on the show site and civilian camping in the field at the rear of the site (but very nice site and facilities too deffo 4*) but i see this year they are charging a fee of £10:00 for civilian camping could this be for non - green camping facilities ??
