Enigma
Here you go. Apache's and chinooks are a frequent sight here.
Joris
Nice vid! All we get here are noisy F16's from Volkel AFB and the odd commercial airliner heading for Eindhoven.
antarmike
That's mies away, you can count rivets on the ones that come over our house.
woa2
Just heard one fly over my house. I live in Reading and Chinooks are based at Overton, which is very close, so Chinooks are a regular site. Still nice to see them anytime. mark m uk
Nice Vid, Here is an old photo I just scanned (hence the dreadful quality) Taken 'back in the day' - The MOD could sometimes help out us civvies - here they are putting a bridge section accross a river in a remote spot for a local footpath group..........I helped out :-D
Lord Burley
I see Chinooks and Apaches on a nightly basis from work located very near to the Thames. Most of the day flights i have seen end up at the HAC in city road.

Stone :n00b: That's the first 2 offcourse, keep up. I just added another Heli film. I could have added a Apache vid also. This is what happens when a lowflying Apache doesn't look where its flying. A Chinook passed over really low this afternoon but I couldn't get to the camera fast enough. Edited November 18, 2009 by Enigma

Enigma
Westland/Augusta Mangusta! Hmmm, think you may be right. So what's it doing in the Netherlands?
Lord Burley
Lots of countrys take part in regular exercises on foreign shores. This is what that probably was. Only a few weeks ago i was in Lincolnshire and saw a couple of RCAF F18 Hornets on low level passes. made a great sight.
ArtistsRifles
Just passed Breaking this gently - a Chinook has TWO rotors (no - not a tail one) and produces a heavier "thumping" sound in flight!! Enigma
Most will probably have seen this but I'll show it again. Very short, battery was empty.
LoggyDriver
I live 5 miles from RAF Benson. We get Merlin and Puma over on a daily basis. Sometimes you get Chinook's, Sea Kings and the odd Apache now and again. The Merlins fly from Benson to Dalton Barracks (Ex RAF Abingdon) quite often with underslung loads. I think they must be training for Afghanistan.
