  1. Inverters are the way to go, we run 2000 Watt one's on the vans as mobile workshops. If you get up to 700 Watts you can get a camping kettle and brew up too!!! A cheap one is by a company called Northern Tools.
  2. Hi Not what I have seen. I do Para display and have only seen regular Ammo boots or SMS used. I'm not sure about modern para, just ww2. Didn't need the high boot as wear waiters to keep the trousers in. The trousers were either the standard BD trousers or the Para trousers with the extra pockets and slit pocket for the fighting knife. Cheers Paul
  3. I can second that, get in touch with Rob Van Meek, good bloke, does all the parts books and manuals. Also From Welbike To Forgo is an excellent book and reference material. Make sure you get the up to date reprint, more info added than on the earlier one's. Good luck and plenty of pics please.

  6. She is now renamed JUST JANE, and she is beautiful. Been on the taxi ride, took up Rear End Charlie. Unforgettable experience. The smell of those 4 Merlins, full waft of aviation fuel in the nostrils!! A fantastic day and biggest stupidest smile on my face!!!!

  11. Any buckles on the outside that may have had straps on? Small pouch on the rear may be too?? I have a few similar for sten mags and mortar rounds. Mine appearance drop bags, don't know if this fits in with yours. Best guy to know is Frank at Pegasus Drive, webbing maestro! He has every conceivable piece in his collection and a bit more!!! Don't know if he's on here or not but I know some of the guys will know him, he makes webbing and canvases.
  12. That's Luke's beast, a very accurate and well known vehicle. Don't know if he's on here, know he's always doing stuff with the "Guys in Hereford!" I may be able to get his info thru my local MVT group, they keep in touch with him. Good bloke to chat to and very knowledgeable!

  14. I collect British ww2 Airbourne kit and equipment. Weapons and associated bits n pieces, cleaning and repair kits etc. Been collecting since was a kid, but was anything and everything then, moved on from badges and medals to uniforms, then equipment and finally weapons. Do a few displays with my local MVT, enjoy meeting the public and chatting about my stuff and explaining.

  17. That's my problem mate, only a couple of bad images from some bags on e bay that I tried to buy, but prices went bonkers! Havens seen any close up or desperate images.

  19. Hi, any ideas where I can get some WW2 (era?) British Para leg bag straps and attachment s etc. I have two ww2 dated bags but no straps or drop chords! . I'm looking for two sets of either genuine or repro. Even borrow a set and get some made. Please a set let me know what's out there and available. Also the Quick Release coupling that connects to the belt. Many thanks

  25. Met a guy at Malpas show from Stoke area with an LP . Can't remember his name tho, . Got his card somewhere. Think he said he wasn't on HMVF tho
