  1. I think you are right. Just think what you would be willing to pay and then add a couple of zeros.
  2. Thanks for sharing the photos. I had not realised they were using the light so long after WW2.
  3. Thanks Mark, we have spoken to Preston who was most helpful. Appreciate the pointer.
  4. Well done Dan, someone had to look after this old girl - fantastic project. Good luck with it all.
  5. Thank you.[ QUOTE=hickjc;453345]For those who are interested it made 100k and was provisionally sold. And by comparison, a professionally restored 86 Inch Series 1 made £35,500 plus 12% commission, £39,750!!!
  6. Nice idea but I wonder how practical it would be? Modern rules and regulations tend to make things difficult.
  7. Have sent the photos to a friend of mine who is a Matilda expert. Will see what he says. Have you any more photos to share?
  8. Have you got any photos of your project?
  9. Dear all, I am currently planning a road tip from deepest Somerset to Denmark with my trusty Toyota and car trailer to collect some vehicle parts. My plan is to cross the Channel between Dover and Calais and then drive up though Holland, Germany etc. It occurred to me there may be others who want stuff dropped off along the way. Obviously I am not going to be Mr Postman for the odd nut and bolt, but if anyone wants a light vehicle/trailer taken to Holland and was willing to share some of the costs please get in touch. There will also be room for smaller parts on the return leg to the UK. My time frame is in the air but I can, within reason be flexible. All the very best, James.
  10. Great work Scott. These AEC cabs are a work of art and are never straight forward. Good luck with it all. James. (Fellow Matador addict.)
  11. Thanks Marty, If ever I am passing that way I will be sure to take a look. All the best, James.
  12. I guess if anyone fancies a little break from the War and Peace show it is only down the road.....
  13. Hi Dinga, Great to see your post. Does your wrecker have a single boom bit like the Ward La France but with a firth wheel coupling fitted below the jib? Would be great to see some pictures. What part of Victoria are you from? All the best from a damp Somerset. James.
  14. Hi Sandro, Welcome to the forum - Where in Italy do you live? There are a number of members with 17pdr guns if get stuck for information etc. Good luck with everything. James
  15. Great project. Good to see another rare British MV being saved.
  16. Hi David, Do you have any photos - might be easier to give you a guide price All the best, James. ps. My old advice would be to find as complete an example as possible as the small parts are becoming increasingly hard to find and the prices are getting ever more expansive.
  17. If you know for a F60 rolling chassis we are looking....
