  1. Restoration is a matter of piles! :-) Keep up the good work.
  2. Yes we have a Crossley block that looks very similar.
  3. Morning fellas, we have the sorrowful remains of four of these lovely old trucks. Non are for sale but we would be more than happy to trade information and moral support! Best regards, James.
  4. Pint half full......half empty? As for the doors.....not much!
  5. Really. I thought they were a British design? My ignorance I am afraid.
  6. Thanks Ken that is very kind. I have been promised a pair of wings in the deal but if they don't turn up I will be on the phone straight away! What i need is a pair of steps, lockers and fundamentally a cab. The door post have rotted out completely and dash has split :embarrassed: It is shot. Will post some pictures in the near future.
  7. Thanks Clive. I hate seeing the old girls getting broken up. The DT is completely out of character to the rest of the collection that is British and Commonwealth orientated. We will get there one day but it is years of work behind a number of other projects. :undecided:
  8. Very good point! Not sure a chap on the end of a rope in the back of the truck will cut it these days! :-) Are you still allowed to use the vacuum system?
  9. As sad as it may be, is there anyone out there breaking a Diamond T?
  10. Not enough :-) Just don't tell the wife!
  11. Have you any ideas where I could find a cab.....or a body for that matter? Best regards, James.
  12. See she looks amazing from this side...... Does anyone know what the T number is on the front bumper? Also she is fitted with air brakes with standard British Army couplings. Does this mean she saw service in the British Army before she went to Hærens Kamp Skole? James.
  13. Because we are mad and hate seeing things get broken up for scrap.....all we need now is for one of you lovely people to find us a closed cab that can be restored! A new body would help too :-)
  14. Humm I will take that as a compliment....lol :-)
  15. LOL the tyres aren't too bad at all! The rest hasn't been cared for too well.
  16. Latest arrival at the Shopland Collection.....
  17. Was just wondering how is the restoration progressing?
  18. Hi Mel, I have to admit I am not sure of the differences. 10542 has no rear window in the cab and had steel window frames. Also I have noticed the doors have a metal strip around the edge but other than that the cab is very similar to the earlier models. I will try and post some more pictures later. Best regards James.
  19. Hi Lance, thank you for the photos. I will have to see if I have the pictures I took about ten years ago of the Humbers; they certainly were tired! Keep up the good work James. ps. You never see any good Diamond T cabs in the your travels?
