  6. Tap the HIAB hydraulics to a turn table, lower and spin. OH LOOK a military roundabout! :cool2: Jack would (Currently) make a great Dougal. Dave Ives has the moustache for for Mr Rusty (Was that the name of the bloke who owned the roundabaout?) Sorry but I don't look good in a skirt so we'd need a Florence.:-D
  7. Trouble with NOS is the O, they are still 60 odd years old. Have to say I'd now go for the relining route. As Pastparts point out, because it came off your vehicle and they dont alter the outside, you KNOW it's the right one and fits. If the master is beibng done, might you not consider doing teh wheel cylinders as well? So often new master more presure wheel cylinders give up. Get the lot done at once, new synthetic fluid and cupro nickel pipe, forget, it's going to be the great great great grand kids problem.
  8. Will DEFINITLEY need re-polarisng on refit then! Get them to write the procedure for you. The instructions always used to come in the box.
  9. I think I know teh meatl one you mean. Can you imagine the uproar now? Let a kid loose with a metal real looking gun AND add explosive materials like caps? :shake: There was also a cracking good metal Webley Mk 5 revolver available about that time. Expensive though about 7/6 (That's about 37 1/2 p to you sprogs)

  11. Depending where you are: There is a great place at Welling south east London called Charge and Start. they seem able to work near miracles rebuilding stuff. Tel: 020 8301 3144
  12. Hi Tim, hope to see you in normandy.
  13. Agree Pastparts, did a super job on the QL master.
  14. There was a Thompson 1921 to go with it. Spent many happy hourd in and out of bunkrers sniping at the enemy with one. My late Mother decided to drive her Singer gazzelle off road once, 15 feet sheer drop followed by about 150 foot down a 1:1 slope covered with trees and bushes. She, my neice and car survived. She said afterwards while she was sitting in hospital, a Police oficer came in with a plastic Airfix SLR in one hand and a bible, he'd found in the car and said 'Well, you were ready for anything'.
