    Stupid question , but I'm supposing the vehicle makers also made trailers to go with them, and would have used the same design?

    All the US ones I've seen have a flaming Grenade embossed into them. Most Ammuniton boxes are based , obviously , on the size of the contents. But the Defence Packaging Agency, anything from half a dozen eggs to a nuclear warship, packed especially for the military, spend a lot of time designing and testing.

    Considering the effect of UV on paint, especially then I'd think that what ever colour you painted one it would fade and blotch in a very short time.

    Jack, don't sell yoursef or other forum members short on what is done for the living! The Help for Heroes and Normandy Vetran Assocation support shows how much members care and take responsobility. But for N.O.S. the stone could have ended up as some crushed agregate in a cement mix.
