  1. Better angle picture for comparison.
  2. Gordon M would be the best bet for Dodges. Can you give some idea of dimensions? Keep the pictures coming. The bumper, Fender in US talk? Does definitley have the look of the later Dodges.
  3. I know where that is and what it is. Not telling as have ideas of getting hold of it. :cool2: For those that know where it is. The nearby ex railway station you may be aware has been bought by a bunch of vehicle enthusiats. Work is going on to make it a transport musuem BUT there will be a military component.
  4. Note well: MOT ONLY covers the vehicle at TIME of examination. Five minutes later you can be done for an MOT falire.
  5. When 'Crown Imunity' effectively disappereared the Army had to become 'industrial' . Hence the use of coaches for any trip over twenty minutes. There has been so much messing about with seating capacitys and licences latley it has become confusing. The old Land Rover Safari was 12 seats, this was to avoid tax regulations at the time, they are now 10 seats. Also if I rember the max now for a group B licence is five or seven. Some of us still have D1, that is mini bus up to sixteen seats including driver. Now if you wantto drive a minibus it needs a full Class D PCV licence. Once you have that number of seats and weight of vehicle become irelevant.
  6. Isn't there a GMC standing unused nearby? :cool2:
  7. Have you tried audacity? It's a free audio mixer programme, great for adding period hiss and fade to the CDs.
  8. Welcome your knowledge will be much in demand!
  9. We use the MP3 and cheap speackers behind sets the gear normally hides in a period battery box.
  10. If they were bits of china or paintings there would be hundreds of the chattering classes frothing over there upkeep and demanding they are retained in perfect condition. Your right Tim, what's the use of a vehicle if it doesent move? It might as well be a shell.
  11. If I'd put the sweat and effort into restoring something like that, MY TOY!! And I'LL play with it!

    No offence.

There was one at Stow alwyas made me smile, Spook Erections. Whale pumps used to make a point of having risque mail headings.
  13. I know the modern techniques are superb, but it doeas make you appreciate the skill of the original manufactures.
  14. Welcome Matt, the Dodge owners guild will be along shortly with heavy sticks to change your mind. :cool2:
  15. Lovley little vehicles. Pop up in the 1950's British films all the time, usually as a tradesman vehicle. That why they are so rare poor little beasts were worked to death.
  16. Seriously, an MP3 player, a pair of cheap battery speackers from somewher like Tesco and hide in the back. Audacity a free audio programme can be used to intrduce background hiss and crackle.
  17. :rofl::rofl::rofl:Wear smaller boots then! :-D
  18. So do you then go totally Bursar, absolute Libraian Poo?:-D
  19. I'd go for the Halfords proffesional. Cheaper than the equivalents such as snapon. I've abused my set of Halford's kit for many years.
  20. Welcome German vehicles are curently a hot topic, along with the fate of the Dancing girls.
  21. Part of Britian's war booty was a 3 metere wind tunnel used at Farnbourough for many years including on the Concorde. There is also an ex Luftwaffe overhead crane on MOD strength I know off. Though Werner Von Braun and the Paperclip project have come to the public eye a lot of German Medical and aerodynamic research was subsequently used post war. The medical side was , and still is very contreversial.
  22. Will be around in the next couple of weeks rewiring the K3 so hope to see you (Even if the quad has a disieil engine:shake:)
