  1. Just you and the family TAKE CARE!!!
  2. So it's an acurate drawing!
  3. Oh Bloody hell mate! It's just so persistent. No grazing down here either. Ground is either waterlogged or churned up. Have you started lambing yet?
  4. I desperatley want to go to the Cadre Noir there!.
  5. Ian, the mark V had a coaster brake on the back so only one brake lever. Pedal backwards for rear brake. The Mk V* had the two brake levers. So yours would be a Mk V*. As for wheel size, that can vary. Seems to be what was available at the time. Are the tyres marked ?
  6. Yes. The Britsh Army did use them! :cool2: Mind you this time, for reasons you all know, I want to take Katy the WC54. So I'll go 'Tactical' and cover the US markings with Hessian. Anyway!! Nobody queries a J**p in British markings!
  7. It looks like the type that holds two glass vacum flasks. What size is it?
  8. To start with, having front and back stirrup brakes. It would be a Mk V*. The Mk V had a coaster rear brake. http://oldbike.wordpress.com/1939-1945-ww2-phillips-mark-v-military-roadster/
  9. I think the Focker pilot either A Died of Bordom, B Ran out of fuel hovering! :-D Wonderful piece of propoganda filming. The recoil when filming real rounds fired was epic! Music probably was supplied in the flea pit. Though in fairness, considering the weight, mechanical contraryness of equipment and limitations, the film crews did a hell of a job.
  10. Your very welcome Mats. We need more Dodges.
  11. Ah!! Dear old leather gaiters, worn with short boots, commonly called Butcher's Boots. They are considered 'Working' dress for horseman or worn when Cub Hunting. They were later adopted for chaffeurs and drivers.
  12. Are the red lines cable or a solid structure? I've just finished work! :-D
  13. It was a common prcatice at the time to use a vehicle for dual purpose. Bus in day , truck by night.
  14. The Britsh and Candians were there as well you know! We shall be at Ver Sur Mer, there is also a museum in the town. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ver-sur-Mer http://search.aol.co.uk/aol/image?q=Ver+Sur+Mer&v_t=keyword_rollover
  15. So far TFL has not acepted a tub back with side becnches in a couple of cases I know. So that helps a lot. The soft top has also been sniffed at. Maybe you got 'The last application before going home'. :cool2:
  16. A maratine attack then? Wouldn't a DUKW be more appropriate?
  17. Ah the joys of DVLA and VOSA ! Wait till they get together, the Sublime joining the ridiculous. Thing is there is now a precedent to quote.
  18. I agree with you Rick. It would help if Bletchley Park decided what the purpose of the Trust is.
  19. Welcome Brian. Sounds like you'll be able to give a relevant comment on most British post war wagons then.
