  1. Go away, make tea , drink tea, think about it, then return. Best advice I was ever given with mechanical problems. Surley the Old Girl is entitled to be a little bit huffy about waking up?
  2. Try looking at the pollution figures at the EDGE of the LEZ.
  3. What about age of vehicle? Most WW2 MV's don't comply with modern regulations. To the point they are no longer tetsted!
  4. Question? How do you claim membership discount?

It would still help them to have a manual. You can't plug a Dodge WC51 into a computer. :-D
  6. YET!! 'They', are still on about expanding Stanstead! :cool2:
  7. Welcome, go for a 200tdi they fit easier.
  8. Everyone points put, helpfully, that my Dodge WC54 has one to many numbers in her registration USA 7120000. That is the number stamped into the rebuild plate, dated 1952. :-D
  9. Unfortunatley due to ground still being soup, I still can't run the vehicles out of there cave. So this about the best photo of the rebuild plate I could get.
  10. Some are still sulking the charging zone wasn't extended.
  11. Why worry Keith? You're place is planned to have a large runway through it. What remains will be a flood water storage area. :-D At least where I am our water runns down into London.
  12. Your'e not BANNED! You just pay a **** fortune for the privilige of driving your vehicle into London. Cross rail has to be paid for some how. j

  14. Yeah, but it is nice to know the exact date of birth. Luckily Chrysler Musuem had the build cards for both of mine. 4th Feb 1944 for the WC54, and 24th Oct 1944 for the WC51. Mind you as discussed elsewhere, 70 years of servicing , rebuilding and modifiying, whats original?

Check the wheel bearings! As for conversion to 12 volt. That isn't difficult as such, kits can be bought, though 6 volt is not that much a problem if maintanied. Do you have the workshop manual? The beauty of Dodges is that they are bult to be fixed with simple tools and common sense. What you will need is the specific tube socket for the bearings.
