  1. A pic of my current Jeep collection, bought my first one over 40 years ago, still a bit of an obsession ..from the front... 1945 Ford GPW.....complete rebuild 3 yrs ago 1944 Ford GPW....older restoration 1943 Ford GPW....unrestored very sound original Ford body 1942 Ford GPW....unrestored sound original Ford body 1960 Hotchkiss M201 ex French fire service and they all run! plus not in pic 1945 Willys MB restoration nearing completion, most are imports and fairly rust free...few years work ahead but the Hotchkiss and '45 Ford will be for sale soon....can't run them all, be nice to find a 1941 example that would make the complete set !
  2. Very similar to Landrover WIMIC http://www.armyrecognition.com/jeep_j8_variants_light_tactical_military_vehicle/jeep_j8_chrysler_jgms_lpv_military_army_light_patrol_tactical_vehicle_us_army_united_states_pictures.html

  6. and it proved very uncomfortable trying to sleep with all that cash stuffed in it, so I've invested it in a few Jeeps

  16. The two yokes on any propshaft should be in alignment to run in balance ie. the yoke on the fixed part should align with the yoke on the slip joint
  17. Start with the obvious, you are running in 2wd rear drive on the road, 4wd lever in forward position, my Dodge made similar racket when I broke a rear prop yoke?? and had to drive home on the front axle, the transfer box made a hell of a racket. A common cause of juddering on the transmission at low speed is oil on the hanbrake band, causing it to grab on, have you checked that? Are all the prop shafts in good order, drive flanges tight, uj's and slipjoints ok, are the uj's aligned on the short shaft between g.box and transfer, have you tried running with front prop removed? to see if has any effect
  18. Found FJ very helpfull, started a new policy end of last year got three Jeeps, two are unregistered, and Dodge on one policy, they wouldnt insure the trailer though, they also asked about insuring my pick up truck and offered to quote when its due for renewal
  19. This full track Jeep and many other prototypes performing off road I have on film, just one of the many that will be showing in the Cinema unit at War&Peace show this July
