  2. Put things into perspective who in their right mind would undertake ever restoring a Hippo, they are not exactly rare, a perfect running Hippo sold recently on ebay for £1400, the latest one for sale, looks a very tidy example, has as yet no bids at £2250

M26 Pacific Dragon wagons at the Retromobile show in Paris this week...not much else military there, the Tank museum at Samur stand had a Hotchkiss Jeep with rocket launchers, and a Kettenkrad, while Jeepvillage .com were showng their new! yes new ww2/hotchkiss Jeep built from new parts for sale at eur 29'500 !!

I've met the man who runs Tanks for sale just before christmas, a nice genuine bloke, he was handling the export of a number of MV's including one of mine, He apparently buys and imports the Russian stuff himself, knows his way around all the paperwork and permits, he sure had a large stock of hardware for sale when I was at one of his storage yards.

  15. That brings back memories Clive, was the pic of Telegraph lane Four Marks? I used to live nearby, I remember then we were snowed in for several days, the Subaru I had at the time was brilliant in the snow.

  23. Have you tried the Desert raiders association, they have numerous replica Jeeps, and one of their members has a couple of originals
