  1. Thanks Chris, buy you a beer at Beltring. I'm really not good at this, even managed to post the thread up twice (shakes head). Is there a delay between posting and it going through the system?
  2. Oh god, I hope I don't post the WRONG photos by mistake......
  3. <a href="http://s229.photobucket.com/albums/ee149/Topdog32/?action=view&current=SANY0019.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee149/Topdog32/SANY0019.jpg" border="0" alt="Garage"></a>
  4. sirhc and RGJ. Thanks for the ideas but they dont seem to work. Chris - yours just pastes the link not the picture. Alan - your idea, there is no paper clip or any toolbar icons. Gonna work through cripps idea now. Dave
  5. Tidy my garage. I was given a new lathe with all the bits and it needs sorting out then either the old one or the new one must go. Add a couple of helmets and .30 cals and you can hardly see the bench; let alone work on it. [/img]http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee149/Topdog32/SANY0019.jpg[/img]

  7. Thanks guys i will try again. It's probably easy after the first time........like so many things.
  8. Blow it, going to stalk a few bunnies - back later.
  9. Sorry Chris, I cant find the tool bar with the add pics icon. If I start a thread or add to an existing one - the bar and icons are not there. I have got the reference from photobucket - I dont do it from there do I?
  10. I know Heliops has explained it in the past but how do I add pictures to a thread? I have now successfully logged onto photobucket and uploaded the snaps there - which is better already than the previous attempt. What now? Make it simple mind, because I am better with spanners than a box of electrons. Cheers Dave
  11. One of the Gladiator trio 'Faith , Hope and Charity' Is in the war museum - over 25 years ago now so I cant remember which one..

Oh Sara, you are such a tease. All these old timers covered in grease thinking that there is a young lady waiting to join, who likes heavy duty green engineering......

    Originality

When I took my Ferret to Beltring the first time, some bloke had a go because the headlights were wrong for the period (being halogen). I didn't care, I was just happy to have a vehicle so I was able to take part. I think the comment about ignorance is very valid - I do not have an army background so couldn't tell you what is wrong or right about most of the vehicles on display. I still enjoy it though, it would be a shame if folks didn't take their kit along.
  14. Hiya R Cubed, good to see you and Rosie on the ferry home. We got absolutely drenched on the way home - 1 cylinder down on the K2. A very long trip. Still, cold and wet last only as long as the next hot shower. Memories last a lot longer.
  15. I flew (crashed) the Victor flight sim at RAF Marham, many years ago......
  16. Unfortunately the larger airframes like the victor are hugely expensive to keep in the air, as the vulcan project are finding out. The problem with the mossie was the wood and glue construction, it was very difficult to keep airworthy. Having seen Neil Williams beat up West Malling in a Mosquito will stay with me for ever.
  17. How can any member on this forum not care? The day we stop working to keep these machines in the air is the day we might as well give up. Last one out please put out the lights. Jack - you just pulled the pin and rolled it in...................
  18. You can get a 24v charger for mobility scooters from fleabay for a few quid. Works a treat on the Ferret.
  19. May have someone interested in the Ferret, what sort of price and what kit? Dave
  20. Having done the fluid flywheel seal on a Ferret - Oh God, I do not envy you! Good Luck unfortunately, the symptoms are very similar.
  21. Top tip, I have had to take the test 3 times and passed it each time. At the point you would brake or swerve - click the button. Eg a pedestrian walking towards the road across the path is a potential hazard but the scoring window only comes live when they actually step off the path in front of you. Pm me with your address and I will send you a practice disc.
  22. Marcus Glenn has just bought an immaculate runner
  23. I have not seen it but I am led to believe it is complete and operational
  24. A friend has just obtained an FAC for a 76 mm on a scorpion. Can I ask who knows what about blank charges. Lee, I think we spoke at Beltring about black powder vs flashpowder. Need a bit of assistance guys. Dave
  25. Medical alcohol is usually the fluid in compasses but not surgical spirit as that has an oil content as well.
